break them off the stud.
Are you thinking to hit the wheel lock with a Engineer's Hammer or some hammer like that? Hard smack and ya think the stud will crack because it is hardened metal? Remind me to NEVER ask you to remove a wheel from one of my cars.

Re: New York DMV Abandoned vehicle/vessel

Take a look at the PDF file posted in the first post of this topic. abandoned_vehicle_vessel.pdf In the past I remember posting an ad in the local newspaper. Not seeing that in the NYS Abandoned vehicle/vessel instructions. Thanks for the advise of not buying cars with no title. Will change story as...

Re: New York DMV Abandoned vehicle/vessel

The vehicle has been abandoned on my lot for over 90 days, and according to (name State) law (name statute number) I am entitled to claim the property in lieu of re-imbursement. Wonder if there is such a law? So now you want me to go to the law library and look for laws? Had a lawyer. Every time I ...

Re: New York DMV Abandoned vehicle/vessel

Mechanic's lien? Never did this before. I have been watching Judge Judy. I do own the tires on the car. Possession is nine-tenths of the law. Story time...... Saw a really nice plastic pallet in the trash. Took it. Neighbor walking his dog yelled at me and said "I saw it first" and it was his palle...

New York DMV Abandoned vehicle/vessel

Here are most wonderful instructions from Motor Vehicles on how to get a title to a abandoned car. abandoned_vehicle_vessel.pdf I have done this a few times before. At the end of the project I get a nice new title from Motor Vehicles. Then I sell the car. Now I am stuck. :? 2015 Kia Forte. Looks lik...

Re: Hub motor not turning

The problem is almost certainly the new connector you installed. Removed some text to make problem easier to understand. Somethings gone wrong with connections in new battery mount. So AngryBob is most certainly correct. I will try to type with "voluminous verbiage" as to not make AngryBob angry. 1...

Re: High Powered Straw Suction Unit?

Tickle the small area with a tooth pick or whatever ya got. Hold tooth pick with one hand. Hold shop vac vacuum nozzle with your other hand. This is why we have two hands.

Re: High Powered Straw Suction Unit?

Sometimes I need to vacuum a really narrow area (2mm and less) Assume you are trying to suck up dirt from a small place. Try a normal shop vac. Vacuum the narrow area and everything all around it. Sometimes I hold my hand on the vacuum nozzle to get in small places. -Or- Air compressor with blow gu...

Here we are 10 years later. Corsair Reactor Series CSSD-R120GB2-BRKT was defiantly infected with demons. Random problems occurred about once a month. Could only repair by reinstalling Windows. Computer has been working great for about ten years now. Until...... About a week ago, storage drive [Weste...

With some computer magic. Took page 58 and converted it to a image. Hopefully someone will be better able to answer your questions. Charge battery. Measure voltage at battery. Check fuses. Disconnect, inspect, reconnect all connections, pray. Good idea to disconnect battery before inspecting connect...

Re: Laptop Screen Hurts Eyes When On Battery

Will check but now am afraid of the lowered battery time... Any idea how much it lowers it? Try changing settings and test by using laptop. Measure time that battery lasts. Change it back and measure again. At my shop [desktop computer] I changed the settings so that the monitor stays on all the ti...

Re: Laptop Screen Hurts Eyes When On Battery

Is this because screen is not as bright when running on battery?

Try this:
How to adjust a laptop's brightness when on battery

Leaving laptop plugged in seems like the best option.

Try turning off some lights in the room where you are using laptop.
