Re: Non EV LED Lighting PSU Question

Next issue... The lathe has a Newall Spherosyn digital readout/encoder unit that runs off 240 vac. Why not play electrician and put a outlet on the wall near the lathe? Kill two birds with one stone. Outlet could power your digital readout/encoder gadget and a nice new light for the lathe. Hanging ...

Re: How to identify antennas?

I realize the trial and error method is not as attractive, but what that will do, is tell you which antenna ACTUALLY WORKS BETTER, rather than a somewhat theoretical view of which one SHOULD. My $20 TV antenna from Radio Shack don't work much better then the piece of wire with alligator clips that ...

Re: What do you think of this situation and how can I be safer?

I am building a new office now and the battery charging area will be 100% non-flammable. Might want to follow all the fire codes for new construction. Local building inspector is a good source for information. Garages are usually built so a auto / gasoline fire don't spread to the building. 5/8 inc...

Re: What do you think of this situation and how can I be safer?

Battery safety should start with the manufacturer of the batteries / bicycles. I see no reason that electric bicycles should be any more dangerous then cordless power tools, laptops, etc. No I am not typing on a laptop while sitting in a fire proof box. My suggestion is to only buy batteries, bicycl...

Ceramic tile on the walls in a kitchen. At the top of each wall will be a horizontal border made from marble. I can cut pieces of marble to any size. Hence the numbers around 6 or 10. 1 number divisible by group of numbers [Excel?]

Want 1 number that divides equally into the following 4 numbers: 25.50 51.37 53.81 77.75 The one number I am dreaming of is 6, or any number between 5 and 7. Six would be best. If that don't work, I also like the number 10, or any number between 9 and 11. Ten would be best. Before I blow a fuse in m...

Nice garden! To let it be known. Them blocks are called concrete blocks. Cement is just one part of the recipe. Also those blocks with the space in the center. Home Depot? Think space is so you can crack them in the middle. Not sure why but I am bothered by those type of blocks. Heavier? Smaller hol...

Re: Americans have the most expensive urine in the world!

pee smells like ammonia
Urine may smell like ammonia when it becomes concentrated with waste products. A variety of conditions can cause waste products to build up in urine, such as bladder stones, dehydration, and urinary tract infections.
