Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

A decent rivnut tool is under $30. I have black bikes and cover black hose clamps with black shrink wrap. I do use added zip ties, but not as primary. Three of my 6 rides are like are loaned out for friends on rides. I like friend proof, one dropped battery gets expensive. I aint handsome and worry...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

... I have a kit without the throttle support 6 pins. I added 2 wires from the controller to the display, + 5V and the input signal from the throttle and everything works. Atrihalov, It is good to know that is possible. Could you provide a picture of the controller and display with the wires you ad...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

The BB cold be used with zip ties too, but hanging a $500 battery with zip ties isn't all that exciting to me. Thanks for the post, I do like the idea of adding one of the Wolf rails on my down tube with rivnuts. Not all zip ties are created equal. My battery is hung from the top of the seat frame ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Found a solution to batteryholder installation: GrinTech BottleBob http://www.ebikes.ca/bottlebob.html No need to drill holes on the frame I prefer a more refined fit and finish than hose clamps. Here is a very flexible and elegant solution from Wolf Tooth Components. https://www.wolftoothcomponent...

We've done about 10 of them and so far no reported issues. I don't know if any have ridden in the rain. Good to know. Thanks for posting.

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

After much frustration trying to get information on reprogramming the TSDZ2 I am now thinking about bypassing the TSDZ2 controller entirely and going with a CA3/Grinfineon solution. This will give total control over the motor and hopefully still keep cool TSDZ2 features like torque sensing and coast...

Re: New

I know that a mid drive is going to block the bottom of my seat tube, and that's okay with me (I've got a really tall seat post in there right now - I could use a shorter one if I want) but the rear suspension linkage is directly behind the bottom bracket, so the chain stays and kickstand mount mov...

Re: BBSHD unused cable removal

So you plan on eliminating the display? Are you going to use the BBSHDS controller or buy an external one. Are you planning to use throttle only or PAS and throttle? When you are successful, please post details and pics. Yes, please post up if you are successful...... Running a BBSHD w/o a display ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

How do we find out when the new version is out or will be out ? Any plans on their part to make a 750 watt version, with 3077 mosfets ? or does the current TSDZ2 have 3077 mosfets ? Anyone weigh the TSDZ2 ? with crank arms and BB ? The new 500w version (TSDZ2P?) does not yet have a ship date. It ha...

Re: BMSBattery.com's "Case-08" Battery Pack

You missed my comment about rivnuts. A rivnut is a threaded rivet that goes in the hole you drill in the frame. This is what most manufacturers use for bottle mounts. Zinc plated steel rivnuts are best for batteries as they are much stronger than aluminum and won't rip out with the extra weight. The...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Looks like Future-bike in Italy might have a new version of the TSDZ2 with protective plate, new chainring, 48v 500w motor and a new small display sans twist grip. http://www.future-bike.it/catalogo-ebike/active-torquer/#tab-1 They had a 500w before but it was just a TSDZ2 with new firmware and the ...

Re: BMSBattery.com's "Case-08" Battery Pack

Hello Endless-sphere. I am interested in getting a case 8 battery from BMS as the dimensions look suitable for my application. One thing I don't know is how do you remove the battery? Does it slide out the top or does it lift up vertically or something else? Thanks for reading. batt.png The battery...

Re: BMSBattery.com's "Case-08" Battery Pack

The BMS Battery Case-08 is made by ShanShan Plastic and is known as the Hailong 1 case. It is the same case being sold in the US as the Shark and is available from almost every kit seller in the US - at least those selling Bafang mid-drives. In my opinion it is the best looking case out there. It is...

charge 52v with 48v charger?

Can't find this anywhere. Anyone know if it is safe to charge a 52v battery with a 48v charger? Recognizing that BMS balancing may not work and it won't be a full charge?
