Re: Sevcon Gen 4 Hardware decompile

Have you finally been able to find an easy way to pry the FET springs back to remove and reinstall the board easily ? I have a couple of GEN4 drives laying around that need some repairs.

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

thats a real bad idea if your using Max-E capeable of 160A. the 63A will break connection in a few seconds at this current. you should use two of them in parallel. or you do same as i do: using a normal fuse (no breaker) together with precharge bullet connectors (Jeti 5,5mm or 8mm). Yes, you're rig...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

Thanks brumbrum for your feedback. It looks promising. Adaptto recommend a 63a rated trip switch but i am sure a correct rated in line fuse would work too. I am expecting to reach 160A battery peak current. I was therefore looking for a 125A circuit breaker that would trip in around 30 seconds at 16...

Re: Adaptto Mini-E/Max-E Owner's Thread

I'm wondering if I could only use a fuse and NO DC circuit breaker on my Adaptto setup. If a short or an overload happens, the fuse would blow and I'd replace it. This should not happen unless something goes wrong (or my fuse is undersized). I was initially planning on using some sort of weatherproo...

Re: Help me choose a full suspension frame

Also, I'm not sure about frame geometry and what is best for me. Is there a preferred geometry to look for ?

Help me choose a full suspension frame

Hello, I am new to ebikes and I am in the process of building my own for the first time. Apart from the motor, I have not made a final decision on any other parts yet. I have received the motor from China recently, it's a MXUS 3000W V3 that should fit a 135mm dropout. It is laced on a 26 in wheel, a...
