BMS

Does the BMS handle cutoff voltage?

How come a 36V pack and BMS require a 42V power supply?

Re: 36v BMS + charger

But what says that 3.6v cells want 4.2v to charge?! And why?

Would f.ex. this do: https://www.ebay.com/itm/42V-2A-Charger ... 3013264877

Re: 36v BMS + charger

I can't find the info about what voltage the charger should be.

When I search on ebay I get 42v chargers for 36v packs is that right?

36v BMS + charger

Hi I'm looking for a kit that includes BMS and charger.

Anyone seen something like that around?

And if not how do you match the BMS with the charger?

More specifically, is it the BMS that knows when to cutoff the charging?

So then you just supply the BMS with 36v? Or does it need to be higher?

Re: DIY assembly kit for 18650 without spot welding/Soldering

Ok, great that you are back.

I have a question: if my controller draws 20A max, is it safe to buy 5-10A rated 18650 cells for a 10x5 cell 36v pack?

I'm thinking 20A total draw / 5 cells in parallel = 4A per cell? Or doesn't it work like that?

Re: DIY assembly kit for 18650 without spot welding/Soldering

Hi, I tried to order on the /international-orders page but it never completes. Also it would be great if you made extended kits that includes a 36v BMS, a 36v charger and all the cables and adapters for Anderson Connector fitted controller, so that the purchase only requires the cells to build a com...

Re: DIY "Car"

Hi amberwolf,

Thanks, with this I just realized I have a car chassi welding nut as a "neighbor" that I should probably visit about how to build the frame.

Will scour that search for inspiration...

Re: DIY "Car"

Hey Dauntless, What limitations? No I haven't thought this through yet. What would you use for body, just hard plastic sheets? The last link was very inspiring! But I don't like the complex drive train. Also I need it to be 2 seated, I guess my Bakfiets actually is the solution I'm after... I always...

DIY "Car"

Hi, I completely missed this forum. I went to Shanghai on vacation 2011 and was blown away by the electric wheels they had there so much that I bought one on their "craigslist" and took it with me back home to Sweden on the plane, it barely made it through the x-ray machine! This is what that e-bike...
