Re: Vector bike and frame owners.

Hey guys, I have a vector fat tire swingarm and am trying to upgrade the crankset from square taper to a cupped bottom bracket. I bought a Truvativ Howitzer setup and the crank arms hit the swing arm where it widens... any suggestions on what has worked for other owners? Ideas? Advice greatly apprec...

HELP Cross lacing a QS273 18” or 19”?

Hello everyone! I am trying to avoid “radial lacing” with my QS273 build. Does anyone have experience cross lacing 18” or 19” rims on the QS273 hub? Any help is greatly appreciated. My goal is to make this bike strong... going to be pushing it as close to 20kw as we can! Thenk you for the help every...

Vector fat tire swing arm interchangeability with EEB?

Hello All!

I have a quick question... does anyone know if the vector fat tire swing arm sold for 250$ would directly bolt ro my EEB frame? I’m putting a qs273 on it and want to get all the tire I can on it!

Respectfully

Re: My ebike build with PowerVelocity.com

Thanks for the help. Someone told me all my pictures were sideways so I went to great lengths rotating them 90deg! Haha... I was told it was fixed but I didn't really believe them because I was looking at sideways pictures. I just uploaded new pics without the fenders, I like it a lot better without...

My ebike build with PowerVelocity.com

I built this bike to cruise around the central coast of California. Luckily I was able to link up with member PowerVelocity.com who operates out of Sacramento California. I made a couple trips to work for an afternoon and this is what we came up with... it is fast and powerful... I am soooo happy! N...

Re: 21 inch front wheel ever tried?

Thanks for the advice folks, I am waiting for a new coil for my new 240mm rear shock, I want to know what options I have available for when I make this change. I am looking at crowns for my boxxer fork and other options to mess with the geometry because the rear end currently has a 220mm shock and t...

Re: 21 inch front wheel ever tried?

Have you looked at the ones in the various motorcycle/moped wheels threads? I am pretty sure there's a few in there. I have looked in atleast two threads... there are hundreds if not thousands of posts in each thread. I have tried using the search function and can't find a single thing about 21 inc...

21 inch front wheel ever tried?

I am messing around with the geometry of my bike and am interested in running a 21" front rim. A Kenda k270 tire with dimensions of 2.75"x21" is only 26.3 inches diameter and the same size Shinko 241 is 27.2 inches! I currently have a 19" in front and a 2.75-19 is only 25", I like the idea of gettin...

Re: Opinions please! Most powerful Hub w/ 155mm dropout?

I am not sure that a 273 H40 can deliver better than a 205 H50. It sure can shed more heat, and stand longer bursts of power. Yet, the extra weight is canceling a lot of effective bike performance. I know my 5404 dirt bike is nowhwere near my 205 H50 street bike for speed and acceleration, but it c...

Whats the most weight you can take OP?

The 50 requires a 200mm dropout.

So far the qs273 V3 40h is the baddest from what I can tell.

I apologize but what does OP stand for?

Thanks,
John

Help!!! How do I lace my MXUS V3

Hey folks, I managed to bend the cheap Chinese 26" wheel that came with my new MXUS... so cheap that it didn't even get a flat tire from the impact that bent the wheel on my first good ride. I am ordering a 17" Holmes hobbies wheel with 108mm spokes. Anybody have advice for lacing? I am also going t...

Re: Best Brakes for hydraulic disc with regenerative braking

I bought the Magura MT5e, actually 2 of them for front/rear, my bike isn't complete yet though. I'll only have the rear actually connected to the controller for regen, and both of them will be connected to the brake light. Edit: I was just fiddling about with placement of things on the handlebars, ...

Re: Want Brake set for regenerative braking hydraulic disc

I use any hydro brake and just fix a reed switch in order to close the circuit upon lever actuation. I epoxied a small magnet on the lever blade and this switch on lever body. I am sure it can be done on any brake but you have to figure out the position of magnet and reed sensor yourself. This is t...

Best Brakes for hydraulic disc with regenerative braking?

Hey folks, I am looking for a rear brake system (caliper/lever/203mm disc) with a built in switch for the regenerative braking on my MXUS V3. I have found a Magura MT5e that sounds reasonably priced. I would prefer to have only the rear brake lever control the regenerative braking because I prefer t...

Favorite 8.5-10 inch rear shock for lots of weight

Hello, I have your basic enduro style ebike frame, looks like a HPC Wolverine, that will weigh just over 120lbs and I weight 225. Considering we are nearing 350lbs I have heard I need a 750lb coil spring or higher. I am wondering if anyone has found a dirtbike or atv rear shock that fits within a 21...

You may need spacer washers on the axle inside the freewheel for the axle shoulder to met the frame. I needed 8mm for my 7sp freewheel. I filed some 14mm oval hole washers to fit 16mm axle. let us know what is needed for 8sp. I using 16mm norlocks also. I bought a small box. Plus custom bolt dowm t...

Thanks for the advice, I ordered up an 8 speed DNP freewheel with 11-34t. Figured it would have a little more space.

Thanks,

Need Help finding the best freewheel/cassette for MXUS V3

Hello all! I have a MXUS V3 hub and an enduro type electric bike frame claiming 156mm width/dropout so I believe I have 155 mm to play with. The frame is the type that has the plates you can switch to the inside or outside of the rear control arm to affect the rear dropout width (135mm-155mm). I hav...

I agree, I am not looking to skimp on batteries after buying all this nice stuff... what brands do you like? how would you go about configuring the batteries, 4-24v or 2-48v?

Thanks everybody!
