Re: My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000

Hi guys! I could not find any information on anti-dumping duty issues!? Has anyone who imported this bike in EU paid this special additional tax? I would like to buy one myself, but last year I was striked with 84% of anti-dumping duty (+8% regular duty + 20% vat) on a full electric bike as such. I...

Re: QS MOTOR,0.5-14kW Electric Hub Motor Manufacture China

Yes, try amps, to 5T 90A batt/250A phase; 3.5T 130A batt /350A phase. It should heat less in low speeds. Which motor you prefer now, why? So that didn't helped guys. The 5T motor still overheats much more than the 3.5T. I've set it to 180A max phase and even on a small incline where I'm using 2kw o...

Re: QS MOTOR,0.5-14kW Electric Hub Motor Manufacture China

Yes of course I ran the self test for the hall angle alignment. And it's not a motor swap but a secondary bike. It seems to run more efficiently than the 3.5T because it is consuming less power when we are head to head on an uphill riding with the same speed, but it heats up much quicker. Both bikes...

It's 18" motorcycle wheel which has a top speed of 70 km/h with the 5T motor (on 72v)

Re: QS MOTOR,0.5-14kW Electric Hub Motor Manufacture China

Thanks guys for your suggestions! madin88 , I know the theory, but I could not understand why when climbing with the 2 bikes head to head, the 3.5T is consuming more power, has less torque and still the 5T is overheating like crazy compared to the 3.5T even on 2 kw! What I missed out thought might b...

Re: QS MOTOR,0.5-14kW Electric Hub Motor Manufacture China

Hi QSMOTOR, Since I didn't got a response on your aliexpress store I will ask here. I have QS205 3000W v3 3.5T which I'm occasionally using for climbing on a relatively steep mountain. It is overheating every so often and I have to wait for it to cool down. So now I bought the same motor but 5T expe...

Re: Cycle Analyst V3 preview and first beta release

Thanks guys! I switched to KW and it is alright for me. I guess the other option would be to use some external shunt, but I will be over the 10 kw sooner or later anyway :D

Re: Cycle Analyst V3 preview and first beta release

I'm digging the forum for few hours now, but I could not find what is the lowest shunt resistance that I can set. I use modified Lyen controller that appears to have shunt resistance of about 0.55 mOhm, but when I set anything below 0.755 mOhm in CA V3, it saves the setting with that value (0.755). ...

Re: MXUS 3000 side covers (found)

I drilled mine as well, since I'm pumping 80A on 72V :D and is holding fine so far if I'm careful. I'm not sure how available will these be in the future, because it looked like they are more focused on the newer stuff and had to dig in to find that cover (I had a long chat with a chinese girl from ...

Re: MXUS 3000 side covers (found)

Only 10 USD (+5 for bearing), but I had to pay 30$ for shipping. It was a bit of a challenge for them to find the right cover for V1, so I hope it will fit :)

Re: Bulk charging via digital DC-DC boost Minghe BST-900W

Adding diodes didn't help unfortunately. They are acting the same way. At first glance it looks fairly simple task, but in reality it isn't :( It would've been great if we can parallel these boost converters, as this would make super cheap high power (fast) charger for our larger batteries. pp.. I t...

Re: Bulk charging via digital DC-DC boost Minghe BST-900W

Has anyone tried connecting 2 boost converters in parallel? I'm trying to do that with the 1200w modules from ebay, but the result is that always one of the modules is taking all the amps, no matter how I set the pots. I'm running them on constant current (battery is not charged and therefore the se...

MXUS 3000 side covers (found)

I broke the side cover on the left side (where brake rotor attaches), but I can't find anywhere parts for the motor. My motor is V1 if that matters but I'm wiling to try a cover from a different version. So if someone has a burned motor or unusable, please PM me. Thanks! edit: I bought new one from ...

Re: CHEAP ORYGINAL CELLS 18650 and welded packs for 36V

Has anyone tried to disassemble one of those already welded packs? It seems like almost impossible - the nickel is very thick and it is deforming the shape of the cell if I even manage to pull it off. It even left a hole on one cell, so I ended up using dremel tool... Another issue is - the cells a...

Re: Bulk charging via digital DC-DC boost Minghe BST900

I'd have said that if you mess with the circuit you lose the expectation that it will work at all and all of the nice features like current measurement and amp-hours accumulation. Why not simply buy 2 or 3 & wire 'em in parallel? I'd actually expect that to do what you want. Personally I mess with ...

Re: Bulk charging via digital DC-DC boost Minghe BST900

Anyone tried to beef up these "BST900"? I will be trying to get it working on at least 500W output with 12V server power supply charging 20s Li-ion. I was experimenting and testing a bit and found that I would need much bigger inductor. With the stock one I manage to get only about 13 Amps on the in...
