Exeter Devon? I'm just down the road lol, You can't leave the phase wires like this with just some tape, it will not be safe, and you will end up blowing up your controller, etc. I have linked you some thick Heat Shrink Tubing 3-1 12.7mm which will go over the ends. But you may need thinner tubing.....

Re: Controller Throttle Problems
Thanks for the feedback. And yes E-HP as you roll back from 90% down to about half or 50% throttle you gain speed and power. I couldn't get the time to look at it yesterday, but hopefully, I can tonight and tomorrow... If changing the throttle does not help I have to start measuring the real voltage...

Re: Controller Throttle Problems
This is what I first thought it was the throttle, but I have changed it for another cheap hall throttle and it is the same, also the voltage moves up and down when turning the throttle. Ie, closed 1.10v up to full 5v, that's why I have tried setting the max needed volts down from 5v to 4.8v in the s...

Re: Sabvoton SVMC072150 controller review, variable regen *PICS*
What turn is the 3k motor? and depending on how you have it programmed the controller will be in mid or low settings. If you do not have a 3-speed switch? I would go into the app or PC program and set all 3 powers settings to max or whatever you like so you know what it is doing... Also, you can pro...

Controller Throttle Problems
I need a hand with a controller throttle problem. Sabvoton 72150, the problem is the bike slows down a little with max throttle, or when the bike is up to some speed rolling back the throttle will increase the power and speed... Full throttle is showing 5v in the app or PC program, and changing it f...

Re: Is regenerative braking really worth anything?
According to my CA I'm getting 14-16% back from regen, but it's very steep here, next to no flat ground. But I don't get why you would be braking on the downhills? It would have to be a long decent full of switchbacks, hairpin turns, and stop signs all the way down for you to get 16% back. How fast...

Re: Definitive Tests on the Heating and Cooling of Hub Motors
Update. I have been running ATF for over 2 years in an MXUS 3K 4T turbo without any leaks. The motor has internal-external cooling fins and a 0.7mm air vent hole on the sprocket side with bigger windings and phase wires, etc. I'm running 108mm of ATF Dexron 2 at 96v 220a 500pa, 24s 27p 648x Samsung ...

Yes, it is very common to blow the halls with a stripped phase wire. Did you fix the halls?

Re: Sabvoton controller tripping my circuit breaker
I answered your other post before I saw this one, yes you have probably blown a mosfet, again use this Grin guide to test them. Also, I have changed mosfets before but never in a Sabvoton 72150 as they look tight.

Re: Sabvoton controller tripping my circuit breaker
Check the phase wires just as they enter the motor, and if they are good as well as the now fixed hall wires then you probably blow a hall sensor and you will need to pull the motor apart. Here is a guide on how to test the halls before you do. https://www.ebikes.ca/documents/HallSensorTestingFinal....

Merlin the prices look good to me Samsung 25R £1.75 a cell if buying 200, VT6 £2.49 cheaper than NKON, but I agree not much discount for bulk buying.

Re: Sabvoton SVM C7245 has fireball flaming spark at battery connectors and melts xt90 and anderson powerpole cables
And you did not stop to think after the first shorted melted connecter to get a multimeter and test for shorts bad wiring etc? you may have had a pinched wire or bad Mosfet, or a failed switch, etc. Always retest before reconnecting power if you just had a massive short. And where did you hear that ...

Re: SMVC96120 + CA3 + regenerative braking
Hey there, I have a Sabvoton 72150 so take this with a grain of salt but all it took for me to get variable regen working was the enable throttle based regen in the MQCON app and plug in the regen throttle to the 3 pin variable regen connector. My biggest hurdle to getting this to work was obtainin...

Add Potentiometer to Change Charger Volts
Hi, Just got this little charger that I need to bring the voltage down, It's giving out 86v and I need it at 80v, so I am thinking of a potentiometer resistor? just where to put it? (no pun) Added some picters with google share, hope it works... https://photos.app.goo.gl/VhQ8txW6YWKAx7eC8

Re: QS Motor axle
I have used zip ties, the big 10mm wide and the small 2-3mm one's work together best. But I have just used wire spring, wire protectors, Look for "Door Loop Cable Spring Protectors" or "Wire Spring Guard" on ebay, etc, I would use Stainless Steel if you want them to last, but Gal...
