Re: FREY eMTB with Bafang m600 is developing with your ideas!
Hi Frey and Happy New Year! Congrats for the proyect since it looks very interesting and different from whats in the market allready. I add my suggestions: - Design: double suspension with battery in down tube. - Not radical design/geometry in any aspect so you can reach a wider market. Focus on sin...

hi, our bike frame width is 148mm with thru axle 148*12mm. Do you have any recommend IGH to match our bike or we can test? Thank you in advance for your reply. Just to share my experience with IGH Alfine 8 combined with a bafang BBSHD: awesome! It is working without problems for about 8 months. Cha...

Completly agree with scrambler suggestions about trottle.
Also support 52V battery.
Last, reducing weight around 4-5 kg would make it a winning option. Know its not easy.
Frey, I love so much my BBSHD but in my opinion you have done almost all my wishlist!

Base street bike selected is 145HP and more than 250kg. For sure race performance will be improved but also estimated race autonomy is only 10 laps... Marc Marquez Motogp honda is 230CV for 160kg(limited by FIM) A street legal superbike is 200HP for 200kg I'm in love with my BBShd ebike but these fi...

Just to share my experience with IGH Alfine 8 combined with a bafang BBSHD: awesome! It is working without problems for about 8 months. Chainline is good. 1,5KW peak power ok. Range is more than enough for single track riding. Only issue to take care of is the cable regulation, its very sensible so ...

Re: BBSHD upgrade from 48V to 52V
To solve the problem of not having an accurate voltage meter among 56V I was looking for a watt meter like: https://lunacycle.com/batteries/gauge/luna-cycle-watt-meter/ But have a couple of concerns: - if plugged between batery and controler as it is suposed to be its allways on and consuming, shoul...

Re: Grin Phase Runner / CA3 and BBSHD
Thanks aerialpixels for sharing your experience. Very interesting. But because of BBSHD programming capabilities I wonder if its really worthit to buy the CA3. At the momment I feel ok with the stock controler and 52V so with this configuration what is your recommendation about buying CA3? Does the ...

Thanks amberwolf,
So I may plug and test it, aparently its no incompatibility apart from taking care not to force it to the limit continusly.

Swap controler for BPM motor
Hi, I have a hub BPM motor working with a 36V 22Acontroler & battery. I also have a spare 48V battery and controler (22AInfineon, use to work fine with a Nine Continent(9C) motor) My question is if I can plug the 48V battery and controler into the BPM motor because: - BPM is geared and 9C is dir...

Re: FUTR Alpha and Beta performance ebike frames
Hi, Found very interesting the Beta frame as weight is an important issue for me 👍 But all the proyects I've founded based on Beta frame are with hub motors and since I tried the Bafang BBSHD I just want mid-motors 😯 So, my question is if Beta frame is compatible with the BBSHD (68mm BB) and where I...

Re: BBSHD upgrade from 48V to 52V
Thanks again!
I wonder what is the low voltage recommendation for a 18650 52v battery. It will have BMS but I want to be carefull to avoid damage.
Should it be 45-46V?

BBSHD upgrade from 48V to 52V
Hi, I have a stock Bafang BBSHD&controler. The battery pack is 48V and almost done. I want to change the battery for a 52V pack since I read in the forum the motor can cope with it and ill get some more power. The question is if I can just plug the 52V changing only the battery voltage in the sc...

Pretty good proyect Robocog
Haven't seen any of this kind for 43 lb!
Have seen some bikes with the downside tube cutted and welded a battery box instead, but welding aluminium is out of reach for me!

Re: Best double suspension base for XC in a bafang
The Anthem runs a bb90 Pressfit which will work with the bbshd with an adapter sleeve, luna sells one. I would take a look at the Giant Stance 2 its about $700 less than the Anthem and unless your getting into aggressive trail riding you likely won't see a difference in the ride. https://www.giant-...

Thanks all the pioneers of this product for such a good and complete information. I think the excess probably has to do with the differenc...

Re: what are the best sites/builders for batteries?
Found very interesting the plastic bag with straps to tie it
My only concern is that I do manly offroad, XC and trails in poor conditions.
Do you think the straps will hold the pack firmly and secure doing offroad?
Thanks for your help

Re: Best double suspension base for XC in a bafang
Why not build another one, like most of us usually do ? Your ´obviously tired’ Scott Genius has broken frame? If it is only scuff and scratch, it is easy to restore. If components are worn out, it is a good reason to upgrade some. After we ride a bike for a year, we all find many things that we’d l...

Re: Best double suspension base for XC in a bafang
Edit: l will leave my original comment below but i guess with the bb90 the anthem is incompatible with a bbshd. Sorry. Edit2: Now I'm confused, it looks like the Anthem 3 is bb90 but the other levels are Shimano press fit, for which there are bbshd adapters available. I'm guessing your looking for ...
