Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Question for the knowledge base. How would one calculate the “redline” for boost level multipliers? The default setting is 4 so is the boost factor say for level-1 4*.005? Trying to solve this nagging issue of delayed boost and assist and was curious if adjusting these settings might help. I tried ...

Does anyone have a link (AliExpress) to the sprag clutch removal tool shown in the repair manual? Thanks It's not for removing just the sprag clutch but for taking out the whole gear/sprag clutch -assembly, which you most probably can pull out with using just the spider to which chainring is attach...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I've installed a brass replacement gear to my TSDZ2 and oh man it sounds just awful. I've not expected it to be so ridiculously loud. I thought that it will make the whining sound louder, but in fact it hasn't changed. It makes grinding or rubbing noise so all the people nearby turn their heads. I'...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I think the correct value is the one that gives the highest torque at motor low RPM. At motor RPM of 4000 (for 48V battery and 48V motor, the motor current / torque should be zero!! So, I think your correct value is 7. Yesterday I gave it a try with rotor offset value of 7. With this value the assi...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Yes, I would like to be able to fine tune this value on the display but was not a priority. Did you try a lower value like 7 or 6? Going in that direction the motor will start to brake, so, less torque for the same current. For adding this feature to fine tune, it is also need documentation to expl...

Hello Guys, I hope you can help me.

I just build a GT Avalanche with the TSDZ2 but I hate the big VLCD5 Display. Is it possible to use the SW102 Display with Stock Firmware if Yes what I have to do ?
Why not buy a XH18?

What made you switch back to stock firmware? Right when I bought my TSDZ2 I flashed it with the OSFW and used it with a SW102 display. With the later releases the OSFW worked fine, however I'd like to try the original one just to get a comparison. Also someone mentioned in another thread that the o...

Force of butt-kick definitely depends on assist ratio. Also after applying torque calibration it became much milder, now it is not even a kick, but a gentle push. But anyway it kinda bothers me. It happens when you briefly stop pedalling around the point, when pedals are vertical. The motor instant...

I've released a torque mod for FW v0.57: https://github.com/r0mko/TSDZ2-Smart-EBike/releases/tag/v0.57.10 Works fine for me, but motor stops way too early. If I go on pedalling after a brief pause, the motor gives a strong kick to butt. This is not a big deal and I learned quickly how to avoid this...

r0mko, any plans to add the overrun fix to your quick and dirty torque mode release? Perhaps it makes sense to integrate the torque mode back into the new firmware, but it seems to have some issues, so for now I'd better stick to the v0.56 FW with torque mode and figure out what is the actual overr...

So you agree that not human power mode and not torque mode are perfect, all of them have disadvantages. Not quite. Perhaps I would go for like 75-80% torque and 25-20% power to make motor a bit more lively at high RPM, but overall I'm pretty happy with torque-only control mode, I like to have some ...

Just realised that motor speed 670 does not mean 6700 RPM. This is an ERPS, a mysterious unit which is 7 and 7/15 of RPM per ERPS (7.4667). So my 670 was not really 6700, but 5000 RPM. So my graph should be updated, but anyway you got the idea.
