Re: Custom ordered 72V25Ah pack for Qulbix Q76R, NOT recomended

The problem is that, whenever load is applied, the voltage sags very quickly from 83v (full charge) to 1.3v. after a few secs it returns to ~73v. Once I connect it to the charger again it pops up back to 83v. I've also applied load with the charger connected, again, without results. No damage was do...

Unsolved warranty case of a malfunction battery pack

Dear trusted member, A year ago, May 2017, I bought a battery (from an ES user) see my other post about the specifications of the battery. This user is functioning as an intermediate for people who need custom made batteries (for specific requirements such as dimensions etc.). The buying phase was p...

Hammerschmidt overdrive dissasembly tool

Hello, Lately, my Hammerschmidt gearbox was skipping its pawls within the overdrive part under high torque provided by my own legs. This led to the need for a replacement. Unfortunately, I realized that the overdrive part is not easy to open up without the recommended Hammerschmidt overdrive tool. O...

Dear Smurphy,

Did you have a nice ride?

I've just read your reply by now. Unfortunately I work on every saturday, so that was not possible either.

I'll definitely join the Belgium group, thanks for the heads up!

Re: The BEST and FIRST Qulbix Raptor mid-drive build!

Dear madin and recumpence, Thanks for your additional supportive information regarding belts. The last question about the availability of sprockets might have been formulated not clearly enough; it was a question about a chain and sprocket setup: are as well the front as the rear sprockets, with a 8...

Re: The BEST and FIRST Qulbix Raptor mid-drive build!

Dear Mike, Many thanks for your detailed information. You made me realize something I was not yet aware of! As you might know, the Zero motorbikes do also have that giant rear sprocket, and made it happen. That's where my inspiration came from. Interesting to see the primary and secondary idea. So t...

Re: The BEST and FIRST Qulbix Raptor mid-drive build!

By the way, I was wondering: have you guys considered a belt transmission from the motor to the hub? This would save a lot of maintenace in comparison to a chain. Will there be any belt sprockets available which will fit onto the custom hub and the motor shaft? Tell me what you guys think about this...

Requested: new or used Phaserunner from Grin Technologies

Currently, my controller is broken, because of water damage. This is the reason that I am looking for a far more waterproof controller, FE: the Phaserunner, which can be easier mounted inside the frame. Doesn't matter if it is used or new, if it functions 100%, that's enough. I am willing to pay a d...

Re: The BEST and FIRST Qulbix Raptor mid-drive build!

Dear Mike, Thanks for your reply. That sounds very interesting to me! I really see this as an advantage opposed to my Crystalyte HS3540 with a 72v25Ah battery setup providing 3000w peak. It does not provide sufficient torque at lower speeds, that's why this took my attention. Furthermore, I am wonde...

Re: The BEST and FIRST Qulbix Raptor mid-drive build!

Hi there

I really like this fixed spocket type of setup, without pedals to keep it clean! I am wondering what this motor setup would cost including chainwheels and chain (tensioner)?

Re: A ride through the flat, Dutchy forests

I used to live there, in Veldhoven. (worked at the NatLab) I remember once i also was into offroad cycling, lasted about 2 months. Got me a nice (affordable) mountainbike and went through the forest south of Waalre (there was a nice lake there). Got home and later took a shower. When toweling dry i...

A ride through the flat, Dutchy forests

Since there is currently no activity regarding Dutch e-vents, I considered starting one soon through this topic. I'm recalling all Dutch and even Belgium Endless Sphere members to collect and have a fun ride at various places. I live in the southern part of the Netherlands, close to the Belgian bord...

My Qulbix Raptor Q76R e-Bike in autumn, upgrades coming soon!

Dear geeks, Here's my e-bike from the summer period. Momentarily I'm tweaking a bit and am undergoing some improvements on the following things within my holiday: seatpost, rear rack, kickstand, PAS sensor, controller (mount), front fender and as you can see, the cable housing, haha. Enjoy the pic(s...

Custom ordered 72V25Ah pack for Qulbix Q76R, NOT recomended

I have to point out to NOT buy batteries from ''French****'' (who is also member of ES using this name) From last spring till summer, I've been working on my DIY Qulbix Raptor Q76R bike. A (very) long time I'd spend time looking for the right battery, in terms of voltage, capacity, weight, durabilit...
