Dave

Can you post instructions on how to change the freewheel on the adapter for the Gen 2 here or on your website? Thanks.

Re: Dave's 80:1 RC mid drive kit build log

Hey For all those who received Dave's outstanding second gen 6KW Tangent, can you give me the cycle analyst settings for "Setup Calibration" that was installed when you received it from Dave? Slight finger issue...lol... Looking for the following settings: Setup Calibration (for Hi -> Range) - Cal -...

Re: Dave's 80:1 RC mid drive kit build log

You should look at Grin's Trip Wire ebrake sensor (http://www.ebikes.ca/shop/electric-bicy ... -push.html#). I use this on my bike without any issues and it is a nice clean set-up.

Re: Dave's 80:1 RC mid drive kit build log

Perhaps a pulley that has longer teeth might stay on the motor chain more robustly...Thoughts?

Re: Dave's 80:1 RC mid drive kit build log

My understanding is if you plug the three connectors from the motor to the ESC and the motor runs backwards, just switch any two of them and it will work. Happened once to me and this i what Dave told me to do.

Re: Dave's 80:1 RC mid drive kit build log

In theory, I believe the tensioner Dave designed is the way to go as it is simple and easy enough to adjust, remove, etc. But it could use a more robust spring in that the current spring isn't strong enough to keep steady tension on the motor chain.

Thanks.

Re: Dave's 80:1 RC mid drive kit build log

I have Dave's first gen 6kw tangent and I currently use EM3Ev's triangle battery (High Power-25R 50.4V 22.1Ah 1111Whrs ~40A ~80A 6.4kg) in my backpack and although I don't get the full benefit of the 6kw, it works well enough for me to get 45-50 km/h while in PAS mode (PAS sensor hooked up to my CA)...

To go from a PF 92 (which your bike has) to a BSA you'll need the adaptor that dtx provided a link to.

Hey Dave

Still looking at pre-orders in December or will this stage be pushed back until the new year? Very anxious to get my hands on the second gen 6kw Ascent. Thank you for the updates and tireless work improving on a immensely well engineered mid-drive.

Battery Failing Under Load?

I have a 50V Triangle Pack 22.0 Ah 25R with about 20 cycles on it. When charged 85%, it powers my mid drive while on a bike stand (rear wheel off the floor and no load) with no issues. The mid drive works perfectly with no error codes from the controller and nothing out of the ordinary on the Cycle ...

Re: Dave's 80:1 RC mid drive kit build log

I have been in receipt of Dave's masterful piece of engineering, the Tangent Ascent 6kw, for about a month and the only thing more impressive then this state of the art mid-drive is his prompt attention to after purchase care. Not wanting to admit, but unfortunately I had to call upon Dave for his a...

Bafang Ebrake Sensor

Good day

Has anyone converted the Bafang E-brake sensor to be used with a Cycle Analyst V3? It appears as though the Bafang sensor is three wire and the V3 requires two wire. Thanks for any assistance.
