Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Looking into that "My E-Bike" app this seems to be the data being communicated with bluetooth from controller: @interface EBBTDataModel : NSObject { NSString *_batteryLockStatus; NSString *_kmMileType; NSString *_pushStatus; NSString *_lightStatus; long long _gearPosition; long long _currentGear; NS...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Just forked the repository and added my changes. Also added a pull request to stancokes repository. Feel free to give it a try. Features are Changes from battery current to motor current as the main control loop. Range of the torque sensor is set to a maximum. Old firmware only supported 32 ADC ste...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

In case of spray clutch replacement I might consider a switching from straight to helical gears: in this case it is necessary to buy both big gear and reduction gear, correct? Is the second one available on pswpower? Thanks Yes, the little axle/gear mesh against the big sprag clutch gear. Can't fin...

Interesting. What sort of cost for the parts and is it worth it?
I've just done the same and YES it's worth it :)
I went from a low growling dog-machine to an electrical sounding bicycle engine.

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Modified the firmware to motor amps control and results are nice. Motor feels more connected, which means it follows your input even better. Downside is that the more the motor follows your input the less you recognize that the motor assist you. Especially on the lower levels. You need to switch of...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Just a warning. Twice now I've had my bike continuously accelerate after i stopped peddling. I believe this to be a software glitch, as bike worked fine once power cycled. I do not have ebrakes installed. They might have helped me stop the bike instead of having to stall the motor with my brakes wh...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Hi guys. There is a small bug concerning serial communication with the display, this could cause the ebike to malfunction .... I will try to release a new version as soon as possible!!! :thumb: Would this perhaps be related to me bricking my vlcd5? (see 2 pages back) Does the serial-bug involve sen...

Do you use three o four cables to update the firmware? It's possible that you corrupt the firmware with only 3 cables....
So it's confirmed by others with corrupt firmware that garbage data can brick the VLCD5?

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Flashing the firmware does not write anything to the VCLD5. Fairly confident there is a problem with your display, or broken data wire. I know we don't write to the VLCD5. What I meant was the feeling of weird coincidence. I run the marcoq-firmware for months without a problem, and the new version,...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Did you install a temperature sensor(possibly incorrectly?). Someone else had the wrong wiring for the temp sensor and their display looked like that. Try reconnecting main cable connection to LCD, might be bad connection on data wire. Check for damage to the main cable wire. Others have had succes...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

I have just tried the newest version 19a/036, and it worked great for a few km's. But after stopping at a store, I turned off the battery when I went in, and when I came out, nothing works. The display (vlcd5) almost seems frozen, no buttons are working, not info, not +- assistance level.. speedomet...

I also noticed that there are 3 strange inputs on the back, does anyone know what their purpose is?
If I recall correctly the ones to the side are brake-inputs, and work on all versions of TSDZ2, the middle one is throttle and only works if you have the 8pin-version of the motor.

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I may be completely out of the loop here, but why do we need the human power to be accurate? It seems that all the TSDZ2-units have differently calibrated sensors, and perhaps the stock firmware is compensating for that (undocumented eeprom-data?), perhaps it isn't. Couldn't we include a calibration...

Thanks, so if i order a new blue gear, or metal one, it looks like it comes with the clutch already pressed into the gear?
Yes, it should be included. I haven't seen anyone selling the gear without bearings. :)

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

My friend decided to engaging the motor with throttle while the bikes was stalled. Heard a loud pop sound. I assumed it was the blue gear, but the gear looks OK. The spindle appears to be spinning in the middle of the blue gear. Can i simply replace the blue gear? Does it have the clutch built into...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I have noticed that during colder days (seems to start at -18 celsius) the display (vlcd5) is showing jibberish, but the engine works fine. Anyone else noticed this? The display shows 1 battery bar and random errors (e02, e01, e08), sometimes changing errors back and forth, however you can still set...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Did anyone try to flash back to stock from the flexible firmware? I have a 36v motor and a 52v battery, and trying to get back to stock with the 52v-profiles from eyebsickle, left me with the controller thinking the battery is empty. So it wont run. But I used the same profiles before the flexible, ...

Has anyone tried that 100mm or 120mm adapter axle from futurebike in Italy. I’m interesting in building a fat cargo bike but it will need the longer version of the pedal axle.
I am running a 100mm kit on my fatbike (non-cargo). It was easy to install and works as expected! :)

so you see how difficult this is to judge from a recording...so what it comes down to basically is: you are convinced that this motor is not the way it should be and the company who sold it to you did not repair it correctly and therefore you warn people to buy from them. ok. So after 2 full months I have finally gotten my motor back from repair with PSWPOWER. I had to pay for shipping to Germany, which is OK. The time taken however, is ridiculous.
