Re: PV NextGen Controller FOC compact 150v 22kw Max - $499

The new BT module exists as a standalone product and is plug and play with the CA connector: https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=100452 And owners of the previous version of the module qualify for a special upgrade price. News to me that it is finally available! However, I'm not ...

Re: Halls effect sensors...the plague from hell

.... .......Equally, a 0v hall signal can be a broken wire at the controller end, so there's no pullup to 5v, and thus nothing for the hall to ground/leave open. I switched the battery, controller, and throttle to another motor and they all ran fine on the different motor. What ever it is, is proba...

CA V-2.4 Shunt Question?

I have a newer CA 2.4 DP that I just installed. I cannot figure out how to put in the correct 1.6 shunt value into the CA shunt setup screen. The screen has the decimal point all the way to the left on the CA screen and looks similar to this value for example .06200 I can't adjust the 1 on the other...

Re: Illegal bike confiscation possibilities by police not up to date on newer laws

I also forgot to mention that the judge that sentenced me and called it a "scooter" in court was a Circuit Court Judge. Who knows better than her about the laws in Michigan? On top of all the confusion, my sentence paper gave me 60 days to either sell or donate my car...... WTF? I was not even drivi...

Re: Illegal bike confiscation possibilities by police not up to date on newer laws

Sorry, but you should not threaten violence against someone when you are clearly breaking the law. Sell your ILLEGAL "vehicle" and buy a LEGAL electric bike. I'm 60 too and I don't get the anger and stubborn attitude of some people. I'll take a guess that you rarely admit when you are wrong. Your r...

Re: Illegal bike confiscation possibilities by police not up to date on newer laws

In the OP's case, the police were never the problem. They ignored him and the law for 2 years. The problem is going to be his buddy at Starbux that is going to be hysterically demanding the cops do their jobs when he sees the OP/scooter again. And maybe the ranking cop was really drawing a line in ...

Re: Illegal bike confiscation possibilities by police not up to date on newer laws

Like I mentioned earlier. I don't have a valid driver's license. Almost every Moped that I see in Michigan has a "floor board". My URB-E does NOT have a floor board. Does that not make a Moped a "scooter"?? More confusion to add to the fire.

Re: Illegal bike confiscation possibilities by police not up to date on newer laws

WOW....this thread exploded while I was gone. I am the OP. The Urb-E is sold as a Class 2 ebike. Keep in mind that I have owned and driven my Urb-E Pro-GT almost everyday for 2 1/2 years now in the very same city. I also drive it all Winter unless it is colder than 20 degrees F. I can guarantee you ...

Illegal bike confiscation possibilities by police not up to date on newer laws

I had an idiot up at Starbucks call the police on me yesterday. When the 2 Michigan police officers arrived, he ran out in the parking lot to greet them and tell them that my electric bike is illegal to be driven on the sidewalk because it does not have "pedals" on it and that and that I should get ...

Re: Hall sensor died today

I disconnected the Hall Sensor plug and it made no difference. When I disconnected 2 Phase wires the dragging and notchy feeling stopped. I assumed that the problem was a bad Hall Sensor. I will put the new PV 12F controller on tomorrow. The controller on it now is a 2 year old PV 6FET. The controll...

Hall sensor died today

Today while riding my URB-E PRO GT one or more of my hall effect sensors suddenly died. The motor just stopped and became notchy when I turned my 10" rear DD motor by hand. I had to walk the bike about a mile to get it home. I have just purchased a 12F dual function controller from PowerVeloCity 2 w...

Re: Controller suggestions??

Did you order the 12F dual mode controller? You need the dual mode controller to use the PV controller for a sensorless motor. I spent the extra $20 to get the PV 12F dual mode controller incase I ever smoke a Hall Sensor and need to get home 😁

Discharging a 52 volt battery pack

I have a brand new Luna 52 volt 13.5ah battery pack that I need to discharge down to about 45 volts for storage. The pack won't be used for another month or so until it temperatures warm up in the Spring time. I have a Luna mini charger that I used to charge the pack to 90% 4 weeks ago. I read and l...

Re: Will the cold winter Shorten the life?

Thanks so much for your opinions. My older 48v 11.5ah battery has a 30 Amp BMS. The new 52v 13.5ah battery comes with a 50 Amp BMS inside. Does the 50 Amp BMS allow for more phase amps even in the Winter? I have a Bluetooth programmable PowerVeloCity 6FET controller.

Will the cold winter Shorten the life?

I just bought a brand new rectangler soft pack from Luna. I got a 52 volt 13.5 ah battery stepping up from a 1.5 year old daily driven 48 volt 11.5 ah battery. The battery trips are getting shorter as I am getting about 8-10 miles before the battery hits 50%. I want more top speed and more distance ...

Determining pole count with a voltmeter

I just bought a brand new CA-DP from Grin. I have a 10" hubmotor on my scooter that has a DD motor with halls. How do I find out the pole # with a voltage meter off the CA plug? Which 2 wires do I check the poles from? I understand that the tire needs to be rotated 1 full turn. Any advice would be g...

Question about Cycle Analyst 2.4?

I have a small Pro-GT URB-E. I want to buy a CA-DP for measurements being taken out of my battery while riding. I just read the online manual on the CA-DP. I have a PowerVeloCity 6FET Bluetooth programmable controller already hooked up that has a CA plug on it. My question is in the setup menu it sh...
