Re: Helmet bike mounted cameras

Keep in mind what happened to Michael Schumacher, when he hit the snow with a helmet camera. These things can do serious damage to your helmet and skull if you come off . Agree, mount the camera on your "dash". You can buy cheap handlebar mount extensions that work great for this. FYI, we have ebik...

Re: Fork vibration with Mac hub motor

I'm tired of the vibration, it seems to be a known issue with the KT controller on some geared hubs. I wish I had known that in advance. It's not losing sync at high speed, the problem is at low to mid speed with low PAS. It is more tolerable when the controller is in speed control mode, but I want...

Re: Dropped padded battery. Some of the heatshrink cracked. How can I "safely" salvage this?

This is strictly my opinion as to what I would do with that battery. With the covers off and all of the cells exposed take it to a safe location and put it through a complete charge/discharge cycle. If necessary build a test load for the discharge. Monitor for the entire test looking for hot spots ...

Dropped padded battery. Some of the heatshrink cracked. How can I "safely" salvage this?

To make a very long story short, a while ago my brick battery fell off my truck. Though the voltage was fine, to be safe I disassembled it and the force of the hit has unravelled some of the shrink wrap on the cells. I have checked every cell and though you can't see in the picture very well, the ba...

Re: Physical damage to the cell, happy I'm not on fire

I had something similar happen, but the cells aren't physically damaged that I can see (battery was padded), but the twisting force cracked some of the heat shrink on the cells. Any suggestions?

Do I have to buy a spot welder to fix this "safely"?

I recently lost, yes, lost my expensive high quality mountain bike battery. I'm curious how this battery held up? It's the same size as the one I lost and cheap which makes me think it's shit but you never know.

Re: HELP motor doesn't spin and lcd says empty battery

Do yourself a favour and buy an ebike tester. SOOO much easier to test all your wires for shorts. You can buy them on Aliexpress. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33003653797.html?spm=a2g0o.productlist.0.0.66114ddbcbyEH1&algo_pvid=e2ea569a-3a22-4ad1-bbb4-c76083a869fa&algo_expid=e2ea569a-3a22-4ad1-bbb...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Did some extensive testing of the SW102 and it works flawlessly so far. The only weird issue is if you have the brake on when turning on the motor, you get "motor not found" error. Another thing is I think having a throttle is the way to go mountain biking. It allows you to have easy access to "walk...

Hey all I'm pretty confused about what version works with what. Should the latest hex for TSDZ2 work with Alpha 0.19.12? I see you all are talking about higher versions, but for the life of me I can't find them. The link in the wiki goes here: https://github.com/OpenSource-EBike-firmware/SW102_LCD_...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I see there’s now a standard TSDZ2 available that has Bluetooth connectivity. A few Europe s sellers on eBay have it. An user told me that TSDZ2 Bluetooth version is in fact the regular TSDZ2 + VLCD7 display that has Bluetooth inside: http://www.tsbicycle.net/index.php/content/150 Since VLCD7 is no...

That's really cool. Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Can someone answer me about the E06 temperature issue? When I connect the wires I get E06. However, I am testing it by installing through a cut throttle and into the VLCD5 itself. Why would this matter? I've tested the wires and they are correct (5v where it should be, etc). Basically will the temp ...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Hi I gave this firmware a try as I fried one of my KT-LCD3.

I was testing the temperature using the throttle in. When I connect it, it shows E06. Is this what it's supposed to do (not under load, just sitting there)?

Re: Most quiet e-bike motor?

Is there anywhere in the mount that you can modify and add some rubber pads to eliminate the resonance, like motor mounts on a car engine? It's hard to see how those plates are attached, but if they're welded, you might be able to make some extension plates and rubber mount those the existing ones....

You aren't getting any leg hit with the controller mounted like that? I tried mounting a similar controller that way but found it hit the leg. Ended up mounting it on the rack.

TL;DR: Anything obvious/fixable that could cause a display to blow? Ok this is a weird one. I think I somehow blew one of my KT-LCD3 displays. Take it to a disposal facility. Maybe don't keep it in your house, put it somewhere outside where if it blows it won't burn anything (a metal container is best).

Yes stock firmware. Tell me more about the “A” setting in the hidden menu..

Thanks!
Go to hidden menu and look at the "A" setting. I've attached a manual - see page 8. I'm assuming you have the VLCD5 lcd.
