Re: Bafang M500/M600 thread
Where can I purchase a Bafang M500/600 domestically? Luna seems to be out and I have a TranzX MGT25 that needs to be replaced in a Haibike Urban Plus.

Cannondale Bad Boy 4 w/BBSHD vs HAIBIKE RACE S RX
Luna has their 4 year sale going on and I am ready to pull the trigger. On something. Crazy Lenny's has the HAIBIKE RACE S RX for $2200. The Luna option is a BBSHD with the 52V 6aH Mighty Mini for $899 and REI has the Cannondale Bad Boy 4 for $559 for a total of $1460. Now to make it a apples to app...

My Google-foo is weak on this one. I only found one reference to ZCRIDING on E.S. so I am making a post. https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/50KM-H-20-28-48v-1000w-brushless-gearless-hub-motor-ebike-conversion-kit-1000w/1294587_32312457102.html?spm=2114.12010612.0.0.43ef2ffcyexC5Y Found this on...

Open source design... Sounds like Local Motors business model where everyone does all the work and they build it and make the profit.

In the "Input type" header the default is elevation, you can click on it and go to Google Maps. It will upload your elevation and distance profile after you close the window. Really cool.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike from China
They do have a supermoto version. I don't see it listed on Luna though. That's what I thought. A neat "package" would be have a "upgrade box" to where you could buy one version, but it comes with an extra set of wheels and what not to make it a quick flip from street/urban to mo...

Get some street tires on that thing, a decent head light, and some pedals and you have a strong competitor for the motoped.

maybe I missed it but what controller are you using? Going from a 60V to a 40V pack seems like you would loose alot of speed.

At 250lbs I am thinking 15S4P but shallow charge them to 4.05 for a 60V 12.6 aH with the ability of a 120amp MAX rated discharge! NCR20700A cells from a Bosch/Dewalt packs.

Re: Mid-Drive Build - comments and recommendations welcome
its all about battery. I was looking at the NCR20700A that is found in the Bosch 18V 6.3 and Dewalt 20V 6.0 packs. I was going to run 3 packs series and 2 parallel as that would give me a 15s4p set up. The NCR20700B would be a better cell but you can pick up the Bosch/Dewalt packs for ~$50-~$60 Whi...

6'5" 250lbs and the roads are decent with a few step hills as mentioned. I like where your at on the extreme performance. I would love to find a generation old down hill bike and go to town. Maybe next build. With the calculations I came up with I would have a peak available of 2400watts from t...

Re: Mid-Drive Build - comments and recommendations welcome
That is a nice unit but again, more money for less power, and putting the bus in the loop kills the time savings due to schedule.
Looks like the cyclone is the right choice. Especially if pedicabs are using them at a reduced rating.

Re: Mid-Drive Build - comments and recommendations welcome
My job pays my transit pass. So this has a negative cost savings. The reason behind it is to bring a little time back to myself. Being in the DC metro area my 8.9 Mile bus commute is 55-75 minutes. I can easily chop that down with our local bike trails. As far as costs power equals dollars and how f...
