Re: Hot-setting 6061 Frame

If you will go to a single speed then just mill the axle flats further so you make the drop out width of the axle smaller. Are you saying to bore into the swingarm as to make the axle inside of it basically? Not really down on removing material from the already weak link in a chain No. Remove the a...

WHERE ARE YOU DILLENGER!

So coming here today to both vent and hopefully take a shot in the dark to help out a client of my companies. Been through the ringer and back with these people. They refuse to call me, the service and warranty manager over here to discuss past payments YEARS past due and have completely stonewalled...

Re: Hot-setting 6061 Frame

I might think that hacking one side off at a time and rewelding/sistering the opposite side might allow you to get it more even and true; then repeat for the other side. Do the heat treatment after welding and you are set.... Very solid idea actually. Any thoughts on filling the swingarm with more ...

Re: Hot-setting 6061 Frame

Looking into the newer QS Motors line with 200mm dropout widths for a custom Ebike project based on the A2B Octave/Metro Frames. Have developed newer 1/4" 4130 dropouts for both sides of the swingarm but am now looking to stretch the dropouts width from 155mm to 200mm to accept their higher torque ...

Re: Hot-setting 6061 Frame

a straight chainline is the least of my concerns at this point. My 100-200W of human pedal power is nothing compared to the 9kw coming from my hub motor. The pedals would be taken off at this point if it were not for the ALMIGHTY POWERS THAT BE WATCHING US ROADWAYS if you know what I mean. It curren...

Re: A2B Metro Swingarm UK/EU

+1 for the cuts
All of the short ones have turned out to be either broken or broken on purpose.
I can scavenge the bins at the new work to see if we have anything for that stem otherwise I can order direct through a2b for you if I cant find it

And down goes the spot welder.... Finally got everything assembled and sourced and started getting work done on the 22s7p battery I have been waiting forever to build. First night was a total success. Got almost half of the battery done and a couple thousand welds put into the unit. Put everything a...

Re: Mr. Edward Lyen Lying?

nice catch addy upon further inspection i find more of a shit show! R004 resistors on top of R005 resistors. WHAT IN THE frock Old resistance- 0.000833333 Ohms New resistance- 0.000512821 Ohms Scale factor of 1.625x So if old BMS did "40 constant amps" it would now do 40x1.625= 65 amps Still not 80 ...

tried every washer combo possible both metal and plastic and many different combos of both. ended up returning the hub as the freewheel does go on to my ultra motors from old strommers and a2bs just fine without binding.

Mr. Edward Lyen Lying?

Lyen lying? seems to be true. Asked him to originally modify a 22S 40 amp BMS - he quoted me twenty bucks to get it up to a good ol 80 amps. cool- sweet dealio man. Arrived to find out he skimped on tracing the board via ElectricGod. Then find that there are only three new resistors in parallel with...

Re: 6pence Resistance Spot Welder

what do people think of using a capacitor bank combined with a lithium ion cell bank together to power this unit? trying to get it all worked out before it arrives in the mail soon. I could make a 5 x 2.7V 400F bank for about $70 brand new unless i can scavenge some parts. I have plenty of old li io...

!0 Speed Freewheel Help Needed

So had a crazy idea on converting a road bike over to electric. Picked up a Sunrace 10 speed freewheel and when I thread it on, it seems to start binding against something the tighter it gets. Do I need spacers behind it or something? Perplexed as to what is causing the binding.

Re: Ultra Motor A2B hub disassembly / repair

Quick update to an old thread in case anybody stumbles upon it like myself. There's 2 and a half generations of bikes and motors that came from a2b. Easiest way to determine which motor you have is as easy as pie once you know what to look for. Internal controllers engines will always have to large ...
