Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Thank you casainho. I'd prefer the color display, too. But as andyme wrote, the trip computer functionality is also a prior feature for me and for other useres. I know that software development is a business that takes much time - and in his leisure time! Shall we spend some coffees via paypal to ca...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

It doesnt show a negative connection
As I measured, the gnd pin is directly next to the 5V pin. So you don't need to harm the wires.

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Hi, I ride V0.12: Lights: work offroad: work onroad Speed Limit: work basically a good and usable firmware. For my opinion, I whish a non linear power. A low cadence should be more PAS and current driven, high cadences torque - but I didn't test this. In former versions, I remember, you could choose...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Maybe you are not using the startup power boost feature?? https://github.com/OpenSource-EBike-firmware/TSDZ2_wiki/wiki/Usage-and-configuration-of-firmware-version-0.12 I set the boost function with default values. But give it a try with a longer boost. Interesting for me: to get about 350W input po...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Basicaly 0.12 should be nearly OK .. https://github.com/OpenSource-EBike-firmware/TSDZ2_wiki/wiki/Usage-and-configuration-of-firmware-version-0.12 maybe give it a try... PAS cardence in menue 8 2 is 110 instead of 25 but most options are OK I think @Dirkro or @Casainho: What does this value mean? I...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Good feature! But I can commit Dirkko: It makes less sence when the values of ODO and DST were same. My proposal would be, to reset ODO with a long press of "DOWN" (walk assist is actually not used) and the total DST could be set and reset in the config menue. The LCD3 has also an icon for DST, ODO ...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

There are several opinions about the used display in relation with the open source firmware. Now there is a tiny display on the market, that may have most of the wished features: Matrix display programmable Bluetooth Tiny https://bitbucket.org/eggpower/eggriderv2/wiki/Home Did anyone just try to imp...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

"I am just implementing changing on LCD3 that voltage so you should wait and then you can flash the new version and change to your voltage on LCD!!!!"

That means, the battery voltage can be set in the display and I can use 24V or 36V or 40V?
40V with the 36V motor admits a higher cadence.

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hi,

I use a 36V TSDZ2 with a 11s battery and I read this thread since several pages and I'very keen on your activities.
I would try and test the open source firmware for the motor controller with KT3 display.
Can I flash the both hex codes for the controller and the display?

Sure it is. We call it, on our OpenSource firmware for KT motor controllers, the street and offroad modes.
Can this both modes be implemented in the firmware for TSDZ2 controllers - that the street an the offroad mode may be swiched while cycling?

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

In Europe, the maximum allowed electric supported speed of a pedelec is 25 km/h, but most of the DIY pedelec run "a bit" faster. On myself I also enjoy cycling more fast. Unfortunately the police inspects more and more the "tuned" pedelecs and demands penalties. However they do not program anything ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hi, thank you for this good thread and all the engineers who develop the motor and display SW. With the original XH18 display the headlights and the backlights can be switched on/off. May this function be also active with the LCD3/5? I just ordered a LCD3 because of the new funktions and the motor i...

Re: Bluetooth 10-15s bms review

Hi, I'm new in this Forum but I just have an issue with the 10-15s BT BMS from BMSbattery. I bought this BMS via aliexpress as 10s bms and opened the solder Bridge to get a 11s bms. The change in the SW was easy. After that I did the "calibration" of each cell. Unfortunately I made a bridge with my ...
