Re: Golden Motor BLT behaves strange

Have you played with the settings, like put it to 60 degrees. Or swap it to reverse direction. Also the voltage is only set at 24v. It reminds me of a hall sensor out or a phase wire mismatch.

Re: Is this a sine wave controller?

$120 is pretty reasonable, in a few years this will be the standard but right now there are factories full of square wave controllers and they are the reason you have $40 controllers on ebay, but the real fact is the stock one its probably as good, these are cheap replacements rather than performanc...

Re: Scooter Hub Rusted Inside

in my short time I have ascertained this. the controller is exactly that, your motor is only rated at a certain wattage, but probably will take more. The battery is simply a power source and it will 'sag' under load which is why you are seeing lights go out climbing hills. Most controllers have a lo...

Best off taking the packs down and making them fit your application rather than try and fit them as packs

Re: Battery Build Question

The LG cells are not great tbh, the Samsung cells are better. I made a 7p13s for a emmo urban and it’s great. I made a 14s version for my motorino and it’s range is not great as I have it going 45km/hr most of the time. The Samsung cells I made the same battery and got to work and back twice, just b...

Re: Is this a sine wave controller?

i have this controller. its 1500 watts peak, not a sine wave and probably only marginally better than a stock controller. there are some tried and tested controllers that can be had for cheaper and give the right power (sunwin and greentime for example) that will serve you far better.

looking for a 20 inch rim for a magic pie 3, its probably the same as the 2-5 models. I thought I would try here before trying again at the source as I never get a reply from there. I'm in Toronto Canada but travel extensively to Miami if that helps

So if I wanted the 12F with the dashboard (I’m assuming reading the threads all tour controllers are Bluetooth programmable) how do I order one, there’s no such beast on the website. Do I sent you a message asking for what I want?

Luna advanced mini charger 48v

Not sure this needs explaining,48v lithium charger with the option to limit the full charge to 80-90-100%, used for a few months until I went to 52v. Item is in Toronto Ontario, so most would be better served going to Luna. To land this item at my door was $110 Canadian inc shipping taxes and custom...

Re: Swapping incandescent for LED light

Same issue, the incandescent on scooters has a live from the battery or 12v transformer to the earth pin and the switches swap the lower pins to earth. The dirty way to change this is swap the earth and main pins over on the headlight plug giving you normal lighting, but no full beam, other than that...

Re: hello - need help with ebike parts:

Hmmm, not going to happen I’m afraid, everyone is different and everyone decides where to spend their budget, fora start your motorcross tires won’t fit your 24 inch rims. So that conversion alone is a point of discussion, same with controllers, forks even throttles can cost $150. Then motor choice ...

Re: Questions about building 48v battery pack for the first time

From what I gathered you balance like for like, so your worst cells go together and that is your lowest performing group, it still increases your overall amperage but the whole pack will only perform as well as the weakest group meaning when that group discharges it doesn’t matter how much is left i...

Re: Questions about building 48v battery pack for the first time

After playing with probably the same cells I decided to take 98 cells of the lg variety and make a 14s7p pack. I use 6 amps on my journey with no voltage sag, compared to my 20a 48v luna pack that sag like crazy. My end result is pulling the nrcb cells out of the 48v and making a 52v pack. What I’m ...

have you tried wiring your bike light wall adapter to your main pack and seeing if it will work as a dc-dc converter, you may find its able to charge from your 72v pack in which case it will charge while you ride

I also assume you have a battery hooked up and if you are not seeing power then the battery is not producing voltage, or...

the throttle may well be 3 throttle and 2 to make the brake or safety cut off when joined. yellow reverse? the red and green, does the green have continuity with the black. on a lot of bikes I have seen of late the green is the negative wire. if so some aux circuit or the charging plug for the battery

Re: Faulted controller with 20Km/h speed

Sounds correct, especially if you unplug the the speed position switch and it reverts to middle position. You checked all the fets and the shunt? Because something is limiting the wattage to your motor, what battery and is the bms working. Assume if your voltage is correct it’s limiting amps so caps...

Re: BMS needed?

One bms to control 3 bms, it’s becoming a logistical nightmare. You would be best served getting one 36v bms to service the whole pack without the original 3. Also if one of the original 3 bms gets a fault you basically overload the other 2 left, either way it’s not a great scenario. Seeing as it to...

Re: looking for recommendations for BMS upgrade

Dependent on your controller you should be matching your battery to that. If your planning to run 9kw using 48v your going to need around 180 amps. Your battery and wires are going to heat up like a toaster. As for your idea of stripping the pack down that’s a great idea. Using identical cells is th...

On the lg batteries, I had 2 packs that were dark purple, the rest were light. I kept them in a separate string on a battery just in ca...

Re: First build - Vector light frame, mxus v3 and adaptto

Any pictures on the battery compartment, I'm hoping to build an 18s6p honeycomb but at 115mm wide I can see I'm going to have to glue the cells together in square and that's going to be 108mm wide and I can use the space on top for the BMS. I'm still hoping to find room to squeeze the controller in ...
