Re: New or Rebuilt Lithium-Ion Battery Service

I'd be interested in your service. I am in Boston, so if we can figure out best shipping method, I have two 72V 18650 batteries that need some service. One has a bad cell and one needs two spot welds. I'd like to also connect them together through one BMS. Let me know your service costs and shipping...

Re: help sabvoton 72200 meltdown!

Well, if only one phase leg was connected, no current could flow, so nothing could fail. What is more likely is that the other two unconnected phases touched each other and shorted together, or both were touching the same piece of metal somewhere on the bike, shorting together. (or one or both were...

Pre-Charge Resistor - where to buy

I lost my precharge resistor that came with my Kelly controller for 72v battery. Anyone know where to buy one? Thank you!

Re: Sabvaton Power switch & throttle

Hi, sorry you're having issues with the sabvoton. Just to be sure, is the sabvoton throwing any errors? I haven't heard you mention a tft screen, so I'm assuming you dont have one. Did you get the version with the tft screen? If there's an error the LEDs on the sabvoton will blink. Is that going on...

Re: Sabvaton Power switch & throttle

Yes, voltage diminishes at a standstill. Now, i get nothing at all when hooked up properly. So, after that ride when it turned itself off, you still haven't even got it to turn on again? I'd bypass the key (making sure its fused) and disconnect the B+ wire going to the LED voltage indicator. What h...

Re: Sabvaton Power switch & throttle

Thanks for some insights. If it were sagging past LVC, would it come right back on once it is charged back up? Yes, however if the diminishing voltage is happening at a standstill with no load, the problem is else ware. Yes, voltage diminishes at a standstill. Now, i get nothing at all when hooked ...

Re: Sabvaton Power switch & throttle

Sorry to hear your still having issues. I got rid of the cheapy twist throttle I had and upgraded to an actual needle bearing twist throttle and used one of these spring return ebike adapters like shortcircuit911 has on his build. I received all the parts to convert the bike to a proper dirtbike th...

Sabvaton Power switch & throttle

I went out for a ride yesterday on my e-moped that has a QS205, SVMC72150 & a 72v 70amp 18650 battery. Beautiful fall day here, leaves were rustling under my tires. Everything was going great, hitting 45mph, but was just on some back roads and cruising between 20-35mph mostly, and on and off the thr...

E-braking - 12v braking

I have a SVMC72150 and a QS. I am trying to get the motor to slow when I I squeeze my e-brake lever. I have e-brake with a red & black wire. The controller has a few e-brake wiring harness. One is a 12v that has only one connection, the other is a three point connector with positive, negative and si...

Re: Declining voltage on throttle meter

That is a throttle with a volt meter integeated, right ? Those are picking the voltage in series from the controller power up circuit. I don’t like this, and prefer a mod that plugs the voltmeter directly on the battery wires. Yes, the meter is integrated. see photo here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/...

Sometimes you can have a tiny break in a wire or solder trace on a board the heats up and gets more resistive under power... super annoying to track down.
Because it has happened on two controllers, two throttles, two batteries, do you have any thoughts on where it might be?

Re: Declining voltage on throttle meter

Can you measure the pack voltage going to the throttle? See if the throttle is displaying the actual voltage it is getting. Otherwise it seems like there is a bad connection between the pack and the controller somewhere. Oh good idea, Like touching the red & black leads with the multi-meter. Is tha...

Like fetcher said, bad connection. I had something similar happen to me. It scared me at first because I thought my battery was bad until I looked at it closely and there was a bad connection. Make sure the connector contact points, like the insides of the female round "bullet" connector, if you ha...

Declining voltage on throttle meter

I am having an issue I can not figure out. When I turn on my throttle key, the voltage meter instantly starts dropping (my battery charged to 82v) is registering in the upper 50s and starts declining from there all the way down to zero at which point shuts off the controller. (See video link - https...

I’ve been thinking about running tail LED and front LED from my controller. They are both USB, and up until now I just bring a power bank along with me and plug them in there. I’d like to make a USB hub using my controller, but I’m not sure if it would be able to handle the 2 amps required to run t...

Re: Regen braking - no disc brake -> Possible??

What happened to the KLS? You give up on it? Yes, the regen braking is just as effective as a mechanical brake. I agree with haulincolin, having a mechanical backup is not only good for peace of mind but when combined with regen, can stop you in an even shorter distance. No matter the test or trial...

Regen braking - no disc brake -> Possible??

I am setting up my QS205 with my Sabvaton 72150 on moped set up. The moped is more like a 125 motorcycle so it has a huge thick disc in the front with a strong hydraulic front brake but actually weighs less than 100lbs. I have ridden the bike a lot with a different e-motor and I mostly use the front...

That Temp wire connects to nothing on my KLS7230 hall sensor connector.
