There are a ton of disclaimers and no warranty... I am curious if someone...

Watt Wagons Ultimate Commuter Pro Superbike
Hey everyone. I just ordered the upcoming WW Superbike, and though it is not popular, I wanted to post my learnings as we go along. Here are some specs for it (Copied from the website here- https://wattwagons.com/products/founders-series-superbike-ultimate-commuter-pro) Motor - Bafang Ultra with Arc...

Re: Bafang ultra, how strong is it.Does it overheat?
Is Watt Wagons offering a controller-only upgrade? Looks like they offer it as part of the motor right now . If the performance is as good as you make it out to be, it will be a worthy upgrade. I wouldn't mind spending if it gives my bike a new life. Looks like if it ships to Germany and back it is ...

Re: My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000
Hey all, Does anyone know if it’s possible to get just the frame? I saw one person early on did but that was some time ago. Ive already got an older g510 and really don’t want to drop another $3k+ on a full bike of components I already have. When I asked I was told no but this was after inquiring a...

Stripped Bafang connector - where can i find spares?
I opened my M600 to re-grease but stripped one of the pin connectors. Can someone please tell me what they are called please and where can I find them please? They don't appear to be JST (or may be they are but a special type).
Help please.

Shorten or extend controller cables - looking for connectors
I have a BBSHD controller cable that I want to shorten so it doesn't stick out - there is very little room in the FS frame to ziptie it. I can definitely cut/ splice the cable to the right length - Is there a recommended Male-Female connector that I can use] instead of using electrical tape or twist...

Re: Wayne’s Dengfu Carbon Fibre FS 27.5” with Bafang M600 (throttle also)
My $0.02 here - I spoke with another supplier and looks like Bafang has told them that the firmware and ports are evolving, and to expect updates. I asked for additional details but that is all they got. This particular supplier is hesitant to sell the M600 system right now. I am guessing it works t...

Spare parts for the Bafang Ultra ?
I see a bunch of posts around parts for the Bafang Ultra - how real is this issue ? How many failures have people seen with the Ultra ? The answer is probably non-zero, but with motors (even BBSHD) , do users see a large amount of maintenance and need for spare parts ? Curious if people have anecdot...

Re: Stromer ST1 vs Juggernaut Ultra 1000
This post was not about me. It's about what is possible and what it costs to build something with better performance and range, more serviceability, and more affordability than a prebuilt bike. Many people have built things far greater than anything i've touched. My builds are only slightly greater...

Re: Stromer ST1X vs Juggernaut Ultra 1000 vs DIY
The G310 probably cannot handle that unless you volt up and gear down ( this would require 20" wheels and a phaserunner to handle the high eRPM that results ). I'd imagine it can do 25mph continuous ( check the ebikes.ca motor simulator ) all day, but only short spurts to 30mph.. Agreed neptro...

Re: Stromer ST1 vs Juggernaut Ultra 1000
Juggernaut Ultra is one hell of a bike for the price, considering the powerful mid-drive and fairly good components. The Stromer is on a whole other level of quality (being euro-made, as opposed to taiwan-made), but the Juggernaut definitely takes the cake in the following categories: I would go fo...

Re: Stromer ST1 vs Juggernaut Ultra 1000
As for the other end of the spectrum, you see this bike here? the total parts cost was $1900. It has a 48v 25AH battery, 8000W of power, a 2001 Turner O2 frame ( paid $250, original price was $4000 ), 203mm tektro hydraulic brake in the front ( bought on discount ~$75 ), air suspension on both side...

Re: Stromer ST1 vs Juggernaut Ultra 1000
Proprietary is not good at all. Both Specialized and Giant are proprietary - infact every single component from the battery to the motor, switches, displays etc on them is proprietary. So if Proprietary is bad, Specialized and Giant are the worse choice. You HAVE to buy everything from them. Go to ...

Re: Stromer ST1 vs Juggernaut Ultra 1000
Both bikes are wildly overpriced by a factor of 3 compared to something you can build in your own. Umm.. how ? The closest i can see is the Luna KHS for $3200 plus shipping. 1. Reasonable bike with quality components is atleast $1500. Don't give me the craigslist route - Frame is probably ok, but t...

BBSHD - still big demand ?
I am curious if there is any insight around the demand for BBSHD, compared to the relatively newer Ultra or other?
Vendors are still selling the BBSHD kits, but I am curious if there is continuing demand for conversion of existing bikes, as opposed to buying custom frames / bikes.

Did you get any water in the connectors? I saw this once with a BBSHD build once. Disconnected everything , let the connectors dry, plugged back in and it reset.
This may also be a loose connection somewhere. Frey should be able to help you.

Re: My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000
hello, I made a bike with bafang ultra and I have a problem with it. It consumes quite a lot of battery quickly, 17ah is enough for 50 km. The engine gets quite hot when running flat at a speed of about 25-30 km / h. is this the normal behavior of this drive? I noticed on your other post - is it th...

Re: Is entering the ebike market a viable business now?
Regulations in the US (and elsewhere) seem to me like a big question mark. So my guess would be that somewhere in the curve, there's going to be a big market for something like an electric moped, and an evolving regulatory environment could make a big difference in how that turns out. I might have ...

Re: Is entering the ebike market a viable business now?
The benefit of ebikes is that we are living in a golden era right now. You can have an ebike that doesn't scream "hot rod" but has a very satisfying amount of power ( *as long as you ride safely around other people). This is true.. but how does that affect or factor into what consumers wa...
