Re: Grin Phase Runner / CA3 and BBSHD

Hey guys, I also have the Phaserunner and BBSHD setup since yesterday but I have a strange issue: even though I have more power now, the rotation speed of the motor is decreased in comparison to the stock controller (I think). Normally I could go up to 42 kph in third gear but with the phaserunner I...

Re: Max. safe discharge current for unknown cells (18650 6P)

Thanks guys. You are all right and I opened it up to check them. Thankfully it are Panasonic NCR18650PF :thumb: I knew it weren't bad cells, I just wanted to assume the worst case scenario  so I think I can set 60A I don't need a BMS since I'm monitoring each cell group by myself and keep them...

Max. safe discharge current for unknown cells (18650 6P)

Hi all, today I got a Phaserunner because my BBSHD stock controller died (again). Without doubt I want to increase the power now that I got this powerful controller. The only way to do this (without buying a new battery) is to set up the max. current to be drawn from the pack. Well, I have a battery...

Re: BBSHD ensuring controller longevity with PAS

You might be able to effectively disable it in the programming software somehow as well, but that seemed easier. I tried this but it seems to not be possible. I currently have PAS disabled via software but when I use the throttle and start pedaling the motor stops  seems like PAS sensor has a...

BBSHD ensuring controller longevity with PAS

Hi all, after my first Controller fried after just two month with stock settings I am a bit scared now and wanted to ask for advice. From my understanding I need to make sure the motor is spinning preferably fast. This isn't an issue when using the throttle but when I want to pedal I need a resistan...

Re: Error 21 - motor won't move on Bafang BBSHD

OK guys, I solved it for now with a custom reed sensor. I had bought some brake sensors for hydraulic brakes but am not using them because they're very shitty. They just produce error 30 when braking and sometimes it just stays there  Since it works with magnets I thought it'll be a reed sens...

Error 21 - motor won't move on Bafang BBSHD

I seem to be very lucky with my BBSHD. On my first ride I lost the speed sensor . Had error 21 but could at least drive. After just one or two months the controller gave up . Now I finally got the repaired controller back from china and guess what? I'm still getting error 21 which is no wonder becau...

Re: BBSHD not working, chainring moves 1cm, no error, display works

Thanks for your reply. Well, overnight it stopped working completely. It doesn't turn on anymore. I tried to disconnect and reconnect the controller but still nothing. The wires look good so there shouldn't be a problem. Am I right that it has to be the controller if the battery works well? I have t...

Re: BBSHD not working, chainring moves 1cm, no error, display works

Sadly it worked just for about 10km. Now it shows error 12H almost instantly and doesn't move  it just makes a silent noise when pushing the throttle. My chinese seller said error 12 means controller error and I should send it back for repair. But that would take very long I think. Does anybody...

Re: BBSHD not working, chainring moves 1cm, no error, display works

Hi fechter, thanks for your reply! It indeed runs smoothly and I feel the motor cogging. The speed sensor isn't needed because I lost it the first day I installed my BBSHD and rode many hours since then without issues . Any other idea what I can check? It can't be the battery, right? If it'd be the ...

BBSHD not working, chainring moves 1cm, no error, display works

Hi, I have a strange problem. I came home yesterday with my ebike and everything worked fine. Plugged the charger in and went to sleep. Today the BBSHD isn't working anymore. The display turns on, battery is at 58.6V almost full. When I start to pedal the BBSHD won't assist. The throttle on the othe...

Defective BMS - Bridge / Connect Minus Poles on BMS?

Hi, this is a follow up on my other topic . It seems that the BMS is defective. Charging seems to work fine but of course I do control the charging process. My battery seems to be okay. Measuring the plus and minus pole of the battery itself shows me 56V. Measuring the batteries plus and the input m...

Re: Is it possible to overcharge a batterypack due to defective BMS?

Thank you all for your replies. I got me a multimeter today but I don't feel much smarter now  The output voltage is 42V which is empty and it explains why the display won't turn on. But measuring the cells (or the rows?) shows me 3.9-4.0V which should be almost full. So how can it be that ...

Is it possible to overcharge a batterypack due to defective BMS?

Hi all, today I drove through a lot of rain. Suddenly the display shut of and the motor stopped working. I thought the battery might have got some water so I opened the hailong case and it was indeed wet. Well, I dried it, cleaned it and re-connected it but still the display won't work. The battery'...

Re: BBSHD speed sensor torn off

Thanks for your reply. I know where I can get the speed sensor itself but the cable is broken. Please take a look at this picture. It's from the Luna install video: luna.jpg This little connector is missing as you can see in the picture in my original post. How can I fix it? Where can I get a replac...

BBSHD speed sensor torn off

Hello! today was my first ride with my new BBSHD. Somehow I managed to "loose" my speed sensor. In fact it's torn off (as you can see in the picture attached). 24167222_10208377147421217_932038912_o.jpg Well, how can I replace it? I think just a new speed sensor won't help, right? I think I'd need t...
