Re: Sabvoton User's Guide (unofficial) [sabvoton.wire.bike]

Got my hands on an Hc 06 and serial usb cable. I sent all the commands to the hc06 from terraterm on windows as the guide says to set the baud rate name etc... everything saved ok. When I connect the hc06 to the sabvoton and run the app, the app says unconnected and does nothing... any help? I assu...

Hope you get the guide up soon. I'm looking into purchasing a Sabvoton 72200. Was hoping to do a little research in advance.
I’m happy to answer any questions.

I’ve misplaced the files for this website, I’m desperately looking for my backup so I can get this back online!

Hey everybody,

The guide's temporarily down as I switch over my web server.

I just saw all your questions now and will attempt to answer them soon. I'm wrapping up a month-long job that has kept me very busy over the last 30 days and am out of the country for another week, so sorry I've been MIA!

Re: What could be wrong with my bike?

PS - The correct replacement sensors for the Cromotor are Honeywell SS441A-S. You can use the SS441A’s but you’ll have longer “legs” off the sensors to deal with. Make sure they’re unipolar and not bipolar. I made this mistake and am having to replace them for the second time right now.

Re: What could be wrong with my bike?

I have a Greyborg and Cromotor V3 just like you and am going through an identical issue. I’m fairly certain, up to 95% sure, it’s the hall sensors inside your Cromotor or the wiring leading up to them. There’s certainly an off chance that it’s an internal issue inside your Lyen controller or somethi...

Re: Do you recognize this hall sensor?

I changed all three of my hall sensors after one failed. I had only ran the motor for a few hours, and it packed in. I decided to strip the motor down and rebuild it with decent components. I replaced the bearings for abec 3’s, resoldered and strengthened the original board and reinforced with sili...

Re: SOLD: Stealth Bomber B-52 almost new

Hah. Realistically, the lay factor of an ebike versus a Ferrari is probably near indentical. Many women scoff at sports car drivers, in my opinion. Unless they’re attracted to the individual driving it! And that sounds amazing, I’m looking to buy an electric sports bike soon. I’ll check them out! Th...

$6,700. Lost my shirt on it. I could have been more patient, waited til summer, but I wasn't sure it would have been worth the wait.
That’s not too terrible. You paid a few grand to ride a high powered, sexy ebike for awhile. I’ve had someone I know (wink wink) make far worse investments.

Re: Sabvoton 60150 or 72150 constant current?

It doesn't really say...they act as if it can take 150A constant and I don't think it will... I think it can take it, but of course it’ll kick it down to 30A or below if you hit your DC current limit temp/voltage flags. Honestly, these Sabvoton controllers are pretty cryptic to understand. All I kn...

Re: Do you recognize this hall sensor?

I’ve done further feverish research and am starting to think these are Honeywell SS441A-S. That would explain the S. And the other digits are likely manufacturer dates.

I’m going to keep looking and update my thread if need be for future reference.

Re: Do you recognize this hall sensor?

4 of 6 halls dead. Seems doubtful. Have you properly tested them? There's probably a Wiki on how to do it. I simply use an enbike tester, since I prefer the easy way and try to avoid opening motors unless I'm doing significant upgrades. If you don't have an ebike tester, get one. It sounds silly, b...

Do you recognize this hall sensor?

I'm in the process of replacing the hall sensors inside my Cromotor V3. Yes, somehow four out of six of my sensors have died. I'm likely the most unlucky Cromotor owner on here. After removing the stator, a few observations: There's a lot of magnetic force when dealing with the stator... Yeah, I acc...
