Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Well I couldn't leave it alone, so I checked the halls with a volt meter and all got voltage. So I started chasing wires. With a little help from Robohead and Mike QSmotor Moser I was able to chase down a broken black wire on the controller side of the jst plug, about 3 inches from the controller it...

Re: JP spot welder

Anyone weld any Boston Power Swing cells using this welder? If so what settings and material did you use? (.015, .030 nickel, .010, .005 copper)?? I am trying to build 14s5p battery packs for my kids electric scooters. I have 4 cases of these cells and have heard they are very difficult to spot weld...

Re: E-S Stealth Electric Bike Owners

Hi all, I bought bomber #145 from fellow E/S member Robohead. The bike was working fine we he droped it off at a bike shop I used to crate it up for shipping. I reassembled the bike tripple checked all connections and charged the battery (80v max) off the charger. Plugged it in and everything looks ...

Re: My E-Scooter Upgrade Project

yes I'm going to have to search around. Or bite the bullet on six wheels and tires (ouch) cuz those rims and tires look good on those scooters. hopefully I can source something close to those tires to fit my rims, there like brand new, I have kept these in garage and taken care of. They still work g...

Re: My E-Scooter Upgrade Project

Scooterdude, will you measure your alloy rim diameter for me please? I think after all the info you have given me I compared apples to oranges. My schwinn stealth stock tires are 12.5 X 3.0 and my rim measures 8 inches in diameter. I don't think the 90/90-10 Michelin S1 will fit my rim after all. Bu...

Re: My E-Scooter Upgrade Project

Gotcha, I went back and looked again through your thread at the pictures you included, its all there. What a great build. Thanks again for sharing it. Did you ever look into going belt drive instead of chain? Just curious if you weighed out the pros and cons of both systems. That KART #219 chain dri...

Re: My E-Scooter Upgrade Project

I forgot to ask you regarding the brakes i listed above, the listing above is only for the caliper for sale on eBay. Was yours a complete set including the brake levers, master cylinder, and brake line? Or did you piece it together? Caliper from here, levers master cylinder and lines from somewhere ...

Re: My E-Scooter Upgrade Project

Ok thanks for the tire info I am placing an order those now as well as the hydro brakes. What rotor did you attach to the stock rims and the new rims? Was it the same rotary for both? I think you said 160mm rotor? Thx

Re: My E-Scooter Upgrade Project

Right on thanks again for the info on the brakes. Could you please clarify for me about the tires. My Schwinn Stealth s1000 scooter have the stock tire size on them 12.5 X 3.0 and I believe you and E.G. both had the same stock size tire. I know you both purchased new rims and if I read correctly the...

Re: First post: Schwinn stealth S1000 mods

I am really not looking for the high speeds, more of a solid 20 to 30 mph, good hill climber, sleek, stealthy looking dependable machine. as for the platform I think it is a great frame to upgrade with its solid crow molly steal tubing construction, front and rear disk brakes, good ground clearance ...

Re: First post: Schwinn stealth S1000 mods

yes 60v is in the running. My scooters do have the bunk direct drive. I thought id start this tread to see if maybe by chance someone had a brainthrust of an idea to take these to the next level or two since ElictricGod and a few others have had some very nice builds. Reading their threads has got m...

Re: My E-Scooter Upgrade Project

Great thread. Your still on the Michelin 90/90-10 tire? Also I never could figure out what brakes you and E.G. were talking about and what set you finally installed. I have trouble viewing the photos cuz I don't have photo bucket. I want to thank you for sharing your build I have learned alot from y...

Re: Seller or source for HUB Motors for stand-up /kick-scooter GOPED

Good luck I really hope you find these hub motors, as I have been looking for the same setup. I am moding three Schwinn stealth 1000w scooters and the hub motor you looking for is what is holding me up. I have found several being made but nobody will sale me just the hub motors. I am hoping to buy t...

First post: Schwinn stealth S1000 mods

I have 3 completely original schwinn stealth s1000 scooters in great working condition on SLA batteries and its time to mod them. Out with old in with new. I am looking to keep the battery compartment size original. I have read several threads and I want to thank you for sharing your information. Sh...

Re: Currie Kick Scooter conversion

Great thread for a scooter build and very nice work. I have learned a great deal for my upcoming conversion of three Schwinn Stealth 1000w scooters with all original parts still working great. But out with the old tech and in with the new goods. Would you have any suggestions for my particular scoot...
