Re: gorilla glue epoxy/hall sensor

I used super glue as well and it's fine so far, id recommend using a decent brand like scotch or gorilla glue though since it might hold upto high temps better than generic stuff

Re: Cutting frame on Big Hit to fit battery

Why can't you just put a box under the downtube? You could probably do around 120-130 cells that way without it being too unwieldy It will look low profile and still look like a regular bike, hardly any welded frames look good except for that guy fpvlee who did the mondraker summum and he's already ...

Re: Li-ion cells cycle ageing

Here is another of my unwanted remarks 8) This level of capacity loss at 5C discharge rate should be clasiffied as excellent result. But the major problem is, that Samsung 30Q shows almost identical capacity loss under 3C and even under 1C continuous discharge rate. So at 3C continuous discharge ra...

Re: New 1000w Geared hub MXUS XFC19

How does that happen? Doesn't the enamel on the windings prevent that? It will, if there is no damage to it. But if the metal of the laminations is in direct contact with the windings, at the sharp edge of the outer lamination, and the windings are tensioned against that edge, vibration will cut th...

Re: New 1000w Geared hub MXUS XFC19

Another problem that at least their "3k" (450x) motors have is some of them end up with shorts of one (or more) phase windings to the stator laminations, at the outer lamination of the stack where the wire changes to/from the end turns. (I have one like this that I was able to fix by lifting up the...

Re: Is this dangerous to do? Need help

There is multiple shorts in that arrangement

To be honest I would just add a bluetooth bms and use that for balancing and logging, and i would wire it in based on this diagram like so

Dear Sir,

Unfortunately we don't ship to Australia anymore because of the changes in regulations concerning shipping of lithium batteries.
We apologize for the inconvenience!

Re: Quick but too quick!

Yeah fechter is right its too much dead zone, you need to adjust the input voltages which almost no-one does Even cheap throttles work really well when the input voltages are adjusted properly You can do it with resistor on the ground line of the throttle (beginning dead zone) and resistor on the po...

I have questions also since i couldn't find much information when it came to building a pack with multiple layers either

Do you need to have a ground from each seperate layer going to the bms or just the ground that is from under the +1?

Re: 48-54V limits power even at low speeds?

100a at 52v is just awful, you only use that amount of amps once you already maxed the voltage around 20-22s

Use the grin simulator and plug in some different voltages and kv's and find where you will reach peak efficiency at the speed you prefer

I bet you could do it in under a minute if you put 7 kW to it, but you'd probably destroy the battery too.

Re: Leaf / leafmotor / leafbike high efficiency 1500w motor

FWIW I've got a motor similar to the leaf 1000w and it's taking 2.6-3kw and I can barely even heat it up. It's got every mod though, 24" wheel, ferrofluid, inside side covers painted black etc

My battery is only 18s5p 30q so id probably run out of battery before I could overheat it anyway

I made the same thread a while ago. I ended up adding a 150 ohm resistor on the ground of my throttle and it moved the idle point from 0.83v to 1.17v (wheel moves at 1.23v)

Removed almost all the dead zone and there's just a tiny bit left for safety
