Re: Favourite high power hub motor?

Probably a mxus 3k lightened to about 8kg on a lathe would be my go to

Id lace it to 22" rims and run 22x2.5 tires, I can't stand the weight of heavy hub wheels

Re: Anyone Tried These 80A Controllers?

Maybe an obvious response but why not just get an 18 fet infineon or something?

Or better yet stretch your budget and get an foc controller, these old trap controllers are not really efficient

Re: 19" Motorcycle Wheels vs 26" Bicycle Wheels (rim and tires)

Does anyone know where to find 24 inch rims wide enough to handle a 3 inch tire? The Dominator looks perfect but everyones out on this side of the atlantic. https://www.remerx-rims.com/super-jumbo-rmx-8533-4 There are these @ 33mm/40mm I think cyklonebike uses them on their ebikes you might be able...

Re: Thoughts on this setup.

I'd buy a sur-ron instead I did look at that option and while they look great, the performance is still not quite up to scratch speed wise, also it’s double the amount that I’m spending It's gonna weigh a tonne, won't offroad well, won't look like a bicycle on the road, and won't be as cheap as you...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Why not 17"? Isn't that standard supermoto size? Is it cuz the sur ron is smaller itself? Ive been thinking about goin supermoto, i find myself riding street alot due to where i live, and i haven't even ridden my SMR since i got the sur ron... 17" looks ok if you run fairly skinny tires, saw some p...

Any updates on this? I understand the motor current dropping off as you run out of phase amps but why does the battery current also drop off in the mid/high end?

Re: Giant DH Comp Drop Out adapters and conversion

Has anyone successfully laced and dished a 20" rim into the 03-04 dh comp frame? Preferably single cross

Wouldn't mind seeing some pics of a completed build on 20's or 16/17/18 moto rims from over the years

Turn, warning, brake, high beam, low beam, horn
If you connect controls to display (or use hotkeys) you can bind them to one of these functions

Hey folks! Little news, i made one thing quickly - Nucular uLight (micro light) Tiny board to control lights/brake signals and other stuff, with throttle/brake inputs. Mainly for upcoming new 6F controllers and stand-up scooters. 10-15V supply ~10A total max Common ground output 6 PWM channels with...

Re: Li-ion cells cycle ageing

Damn 30q is getting long in the tooth @ 400 cycles or so, closing in on 29e IR wise

Would be good to see HG2 also to find out which is the longest lasting out of the 30q/Vtc6/Hg2 trinity

Re: Li-ion cells cycle ageing

Am i cucking myself by running 30q at 10a per cell then?

And if i was to use something like a 29e or m29, what discharge rate would give me the equivalent amount of voltage sag as my 30q's currently?

Re: Where would you place a 72v 25ah battery on this frame?

Too many cells, but a combination of #4 and inside the frame

Also do you own that bike? Black diamond is a much better candidate for that kind of build, what you have is the low travel less beefy xc model, teocali

I have almost the same build already completed

I used super glue as well and it's fine so far, id recommend using a decent brand like scotch or gorilla glue though since it might hold upto high temps better than generic stuff

Re: Cutting frame on Big Hit to fit battery

Why can't you just put a box under the downtube? You could probably do around 120-130 cells that way without it being too unwieldy It will look low profile and still look like a regular bike, hardly any welded frames look good except for that guy fpvlee who did the mondraker summum and he's already ...

Re: Li-ion cells cycle ageing

Here is another of my unwanted remarks 8) This level of capacity loss at 5C discharge rate should be clasiffied as excellent result. But the major problem is, that Samsung 30Q shows almost identical capacity loss under 3C and even under 1C continuous discharge rate. So at 3C continuous discharge ra...
