1JohnFoster --> https://www.webdavsystem.com/sharepoint ... tegration/

Dauntless --> there will eventually be a security hole and no patch for it. So unless you are going to air gap it off the internet then yes migrating will be necessary.

Re: Do 36v 500w geared motors need torque arms?

250W 1 torque arm
500W+ 2 torque arms

UNLESS it's a steel fork then
500W 1 torque arm
1000W+ 2 torque arms

I've seen 500W motors bend out of the dropouts on designed ebikes(wide looks like a gas scooter types), so yeah on a conversion ALWAYS use a torque arm.

Re: When XP is dead I will migrate to....

Next wave of Windows refugees incoming on April 4 when Vista goes unsupported. Windows refugees have made linux Mint (based on Debian and ubuntu) the top OS on distrowatch.com . I recommend XFCE version for machines that came with XP, or Puppy Linux for win 95/98 machines. On distrowatch Mint is #1,...

Re: KU123 Controller

Ok the one replacement arrived. They still didn't label the mystery connections. I wired up what was labelled (exactly the same as the other controllers) and it works properly. I opened one of the 4 bad ones and the new one and they are all the same revision number b12_v1.2 20130108. There are wirin...

Re: KU123 Controller

They were about to send me 4 new controllers if I paid shipping. I replied send one, Tested and all connections properly labelled. If it works I'll open it and compare the wiring connections on the others and see if the other 4 are miss-wired. If it doesn't work then I know that these new Ku123's a ...

Re: KU123 Controller

BMS went on a 4 day business trip. Waiting on them to come back I opened a controller looking for XZ on the controller and couldn't find one. I thought it might be a bms cut out on the battery so went to another 36V batt and same behaviour. I tried the controller with a 48V battery and same behaviou...

Re: KU123 Controller

Ok the sticker on the controller says connect the two Red wires for 36V 48V select. There are no red wires. All the other wires are explained on the wiring diagram pdf except a lone blue wire and two small green wires which I had assumed were the 36/48 select. I undo the two green and the motor oper...

KU123 Controller

I finally took the time to get my winter trike ready and plugged in a new KU123 controller. I wire it up and it oddly goes goes full throttle immediately even though the throttle isn't even plugged in yet. !?!? Ok I must be going senile. Two red wires connected for 36V instead of 48? Check but they ...

Re: E-bike debate (in New Brunswick, Canada)

The hobby business is still slow. I'm down to like 3 bikes and a couple conversion kits. I've been busy doing other things with my time like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HIgFELpcDMg In Saint John the pre-made ebikes are more popular by miles over conversion kits. The major stumbling block is stil...

Ebike motor for exercise and powering tv/computer

I'm thinking of something for off grid living.

Using an ebike motor as a human powered generator for

1) exercise (reclining exercise bike)

2) To charge up a bank of batteries which

3) uses an inverter to power a computer/tv for entertainment while you exercise.

Anyone tried this?

Re: The N.B. ebike law status fight ~~begins~~ is WON

Did you end up going to court anyway to see if they called your name? Did they? Yes. Just to make sure. I went in to see if it was still on the boards, and it was. Then went in to see if they would call me, or if the crown would just announce the withdrawal. They did call me(got my name initials wr...

Ticket officially voided.

They even messed up and got my name wrong calling the case today.

Oh well. Next step is to get official legislation passed instead of relying on "policy".
There is an election on in N.B. so raise the issue.

I used his response to send yet another email to the DPS/MOT Hello, Just more info for you. See the Traffic Sgts statement below (oldest email at bottom newest at top). The traffic Sgt's presence was not required in court, just the issuing officer. So I take his statement for the reason for the void...

VICTORY almost. I won't believe it until I see it in writing or hear it from the judge. It looks like they are withdrawing the case.
