Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I know someone who is in contact with an agent who said they would ship it. But based on what you are saying, I want to double check that there won't be any issues and if the agent is aware of shipping something with a battery. I assume you are contacting agents to ship the Sur-Ron by sea freight a...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Does anybody know what component is the limiting factor on the Light Bee EU homologated version? I'd like to know if you have to swap out the battery, the controller or both to get it to work like the normal offroad version. light bee L1e version is "wire restricted" .. so full power and both power...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I wonder if Luna would even consider buying the old stock bikes at this point if they were going to place another order. That would be kind of dumb to do considering they know everyone is going to want the X-Version with the better controller. That is why we must all do our duty and demand Luna get...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

From my experience with using a DNM fork is that it works well but because it is an upside down fork / inverted fork and lacks that cross brace, you can easily feel the play in the wheel when riding and also when riding fast on the street. It is a bit wobbly. When I put back on my Marzocchi 888 nor...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

The bikes can come from the factory with USD forks, initially these were supplied by Fastace, but now DNM. If the bike is fitted wit RST forks you get Fastace rear shock. If the bike is fitted with DNM fork you get DNM rear shock. I would say the RST is a better fork, it just stands out being White...

US E-Bike Import Hit by ‘War On Trade’ With China

The Trump administration included the import of e-bikes and bicycles on the lengthy list of Chinese products which will be hit by an additional import duty. The initial announcement of these tariffs was made last March as a part of a USD 50 billion program ordered by US President Donald Trump. http:...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Any machine with an electrical system that’s non homologated falls under the U.K. and EEC machinery directive for EMC and electrical safety regulations So the bike must have the correct CE markings (not EN it’s not a pedal cycle) and technical safety file Otherwise not only is it illegal to import b...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/PDF/?uri=CELEX:32016R1036&rid=1 Beware The manufacturers plate on the off road light bee is clearly falling under this category, up to 189% anti dumping retrospective penalties possible and all units imported to the EEC now have to be registered with c...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Yes that’s clear , but existing model of off road light bee is certified as electric bicycle so EEC importers risk the penalty of upto 189% anti dumping duty being applied retrospectively to all imports from last month. EU madness how can you run an import business with this strong risk in the backg...
