Re: Which BMS is better?
https://endless-sphere.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=88676 check this out. Thanks, my dear :) Considering this topic, I guess the JBD is a good choice too. My question is if the second option ( https://www.ebay.com/itm/192880341024 ) is much better than JBD and if it's worth paying more for it.

Re: Which BMS is better?
Interesting that the first link provides a gps tracking device for your ebike(though you have to buy it separately). I only used smart bms with Xiaoxiang app and they work pretty well. Don't forget to buy a Bluetooth module as the first link does not provide one(based on the description). BBS02 doe...

Re: Which BMS is better?
Weird advert for that first one  I know nothing about either of them, but one is $13 and the other is ~$75 so that probably tells you the answer. I like the LCD display with the second one... Go with that one...but as I said I know nothing of their specs. Thanks, kdog :) The first one, you n...

Re: Which BMS is better?
No problem. Do you know how many peak amps your battery pack is capable of? The general consensus is to find a BMS rated for double that so that it can run nice and cool. Be careful to check the BMS's physical dimensions though, so that it fit's in your original battery case/enclosure. Ok ok, my de...

Re: Which BMS is better?
What sort of peak current do you plan on drawing from the pack? Also, both of those are available on AliExpress from the same seller for slightly less cost. Many thanks for your prompt reply, bro. Well... my eBike project uses a Bafang bbs02b motor (I bought it some years ago on LunaCycle when I wa...

Which BMS is better: ANT or JBD?
Hi, guys, how are you doing? I would like to know which BMS is the best choice in my case. My old BMS (a non-smart BMS) has died and I can't spend more than US$80 to buy a new one (preferably a smart BMS). I have found these options: https://www.ebay.com/itm/15S-48V-56V-Li-ion-Lifepo4-Remote-GPRS-Po...

Re: bluetooth BMS?
Hi, guys, how are you doing? Let me ask you a thing: I would like to buy a new BMS to replace the old one (that fried during the firmware update). This seller has some different versions (20, 30, 40 and 60A). So, my question is: if I choose the 20A and replace all chinese mosfets, will I get a highe...

Re: bluetooth BMS?
There does seem to be some sort of conformal coating over that end of the board, up to the main mosfets. I did try to find a similar diode before my last post, but the layouts are pretty different. Thank you so much for your cooperation, Thunder. My board is the v1.1... I was checking the board to ...

Re: bluetooth BMS?
All I can observe is it looks to be an older revision of the JBD BMS. I have one labeled v1.3, one labeled v1.4, and yours doesn't even seem to mention a version. I'd try a standard rectifier diode and see if it works, but proceed at your own risk since my knowledge is limited. Thank you so much fo...

Re: bluetooth BMS?
Could anyone help me? Hi, people, how are you doing? I'm trying to repair my bluetooth BMS but I don't know which component is that marked with this blue arrow. I know it's a diode but I don't know if it is a rectifier, schottky or a zener. It fried after the 10R resistor (white arrow) has blown. Fu...

Re: bluetooth BMS?
I have replaced the µC So... are you writing your own software? Unfortunately no, my dear. A month ago I have tried to update the firmware and the connection has been lost during the procedure. Mr BotoXbz has shared the stock firmware with me and I flashed it in the new µC. However, I can't go ahea...

Re: [Help] Chinese BMS firmware
You'd have to get it from the manufacturer of the BMS itself, because the firmware will be different for different designs. If the new firmware you were using didn't come from them, that might be why it failed. Many thanks for your explanation, my dear. Mr. BotoXbz has shared a firmware (SP15S001) ...

[Help] Chinese BMS firmware
Hi, people, how are you? Today I started assembling my battery but I bricked my BMS after trying to updated its firmware. My BMS is a chinese one with bluetooth support. The model is JBD-SP15S001 (attached below). https://i.ibb.co/59Byd4x/IMG-20190816-134147.jpg I realized it uses an ATMega8 with TI...

Re: bluetooth BMS?
Could you check if these pins have a pull-up resistor? If so, it could be to use a push button to switch between the charge and discharge. how would i do that? one pin is connected to GND, the other measures 1mOhm against ground (raising the longer you measure) I think 1M is a huge resistance for a...

Re: bluetooth BMS?
Hey, izeman , how are you? Could you check if these pins have a pull-up resistor? If so, it could be to use a push button to switch between the charge and discharge. Further, I really think it could be related to the "Switch" checkbox in the software because we usually use the work "K...

Re: bluetooth BMS?
Hi, people, is everything ok? I'm from Brazil and here is very hard to find electronic stuffs related to eBikes. To create a 14s7p battery, I have collected a lot of HP 62W laptop batteries (they had a bunch of Samsung 26F cells). The most part of cells are good (I have tested with an original IMax ...
