Re: Specs Performance for 80-100 motor ?

Design is done, I'm going to start to buy commercial components. I finally decided to do the second stage with 2 belts HTD5M 20mm width. The torque starts to be awesome at this second stage if performing with peak 7000W. . PACIFIC Reach Racing + Mid-Drive-1.jpg . transmission-primaire_c80100_38.jpg ...

Re: LMX P2 : Freeride trials motorcycle frame development

Matt, I can not give much details here, but things are going well driven by strong sales. We are now working on consolidating the team in the sales and production dept to have more free time for new developments. We will rent a second 150m2 workshop next door for assembly as soon as it is available...

Re: Specs Performance for 80-100 motor ?

Looks awesome but are you planning on using a freewheel on the crank? Seems extremely dangerous to not use one. Thats a ton of torque if you become entangled in the crank as well as really easy to accidentally throttle and cause a pedal strike when turning. Yes of course Dan, as I already wrote it ...

I continued yesterday to brainstorm and I arrived to something not so bad for standard motor C80100-130kv : -50km/h = 436 rpm at the wheel -Derailleur chainring 11/42 stage : ratio = 3.81:1 = 114 rpm at crank -Chainring belt/crank 14/42 stage : ratio = 1:3 -2nd stage belt 72/18 : ratio = 1:4 -1st st...

Re: Specs Performance for 80-100 motor ?

Can you explain why I should not go for that type of reducer ? No, that's not what I said. To the contrary, I posted the links to these reducers because they are good option for an e-bike. Why do you need a reducer for 12 mm shaft? Is it to connect a reducer and the 80100 motor directly in series? ...

Re: Specs Performance for 80-100 motor ?

Matt_92 Professional Bike Racers ride with a crankset Cadence RPM of 80 or more, they have to keep the Latic Acid from building up in their legs, and when going up hills they need to have 80 or more RPM Cadence to keep their speed up. However How long can you do that ? and/or is it comfortable to r...

Re: Specs Performance for 80-100 motor ?

Loaded you get about 85% of that. 4200 x .85=3570rpm Hey dan, you mean that when loaded, I have to consider 15% of losses between loaded/not loaded ? Here is my brainstorming to calculate the kv following speed, crank rpm, and battery : If I consider 50km/h with a 26-1.00 tyre = 436 rpm at the rear...

Re: Specs Performance for 80-100 motor ?

DanGT86, you're totally right, for the 2 stages belts drive, about the pitch of the second belt ! I didn't find (or not good searched..) charts with Power/RPM - HTD5M/HTD8M for 20mm wide belt... but I thought about it ! My thought on this is : -1st stage : not enough resistant torque, it's ok for HT...

Thanks Ecyclist for your encouragaments :) But if you plane to "commercialize" your reducer, I could be interested  I have to confess, that I prefere have a small reducer as yours that a multi belt drive reducer, in terms of space, but I know too that it's a compromise between cost/space... Yes you can manage the current limite  In my case I plane to use it at 12s with a current max at 160A (or 7000w max), these controllers look attractiv...

Re: Specs Performance for 80-100 motor ?

I built the transmission myself, and it is as efficient as two stage belt/chain type, but takes only 1/3 of the space. Do you plane to create an more strong reducer for the 80100 ? can this reducer pass the 80100 torque ? What is the ratio ? How does it cost to you ? do you have machinery for mcahi...
