Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I haven't tried enough ebikes to know if this one just merely compensates for it's own weight or not. Probably 36V version is more likely to be sufficient for local urban commuting. Should have gone for 48V version for tackling the hills which are the main cause for reduction of average speed when ...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I don't want to influence you but my guess would be that very very very few riders on this forum, would be able to push into the 100's for any thing more than a few seconds, let alone run regularly ride in that 100 - 110 bracket. That's for the fitties among us and my guess those fitties are probab...

The usability of having to calibrate the torque sensor each ride would be too much for her. She expects the bike to operate just like a car. Turn it on and go. Seems you didn't understand. Torque sensor calibration is only done once. Great. I thought the crank arm had to be positioned correctly eac...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

I am still using the LCD3, I have a 850c in the drawer because I rely on EMTB mode which is like a progressive torque mode. It is great and I believe solves all of the issues you are raising. That is because you never tried the torque sensor full calibration, because it is only available on latest ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I am running stock 52v firmware on the motor and euronau firmware on the 850c, and it also does the same. I usually turn off things by flipping off the switch on my battery, but I will start using the actual power off button on the 850c first and see if that resolves the issue Now that you mention ...

There is no connector at all. I soldered the wires directly and sealed them properly. I've opened the seals up and it was bone dry. I couldn't find any water anywhere, not in the display nor switch nor controller. Maybe it is just a coincidence...??? I ordered a new KT-LCD3 also have a spare...

Thanks, will check. To activate it, you simply press and hold the DOWN button, right?
Just for comparison, what are your settings for the cruise submenu?

In the V20 you have to activate the cruise function in the setup screen, I think it’s default is off in the initial setup. Of course it is activated. The relevant submenu 0 has value 1. Do you confirm that after you press DOWN for a second or so your cruise starts working? Yes my cruise works. Beta...

Re: TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

Anyone seen the latest changes on the 850c version. Looks like a change from using battery current to motor current could be a good thing ? Is it worth doing a source compare and copying out the code for this ? Btw has anyone used 15s with the lcd3 ? Is it reliable ? Hard to know, some empirical te...

Did you see that Ackmaniac did something to take into account the cadence for less overrun Maybe have a look at that and see if its also worth incorporating I similarly modified his fork and was running that as my go-to version for a while and it helped a lot. Following on from a few posts back, has anyone done the cadence sensor calibration and tried running advanced cadence mode?
I have but no idea what it actually did. Maybe faster to respond to stop/start?

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only) for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Hi, I have a very tempermental TSDZ2 which sometimes seems to turn on and run no problem, and other times I get no response unless I REALLY crank down on the pedals, in which case I might get a few 10s of Watts. I thought this might be a dodgy torque sensor, so I bought a new one and it seems to wo...

I switched from the KT-LCD3 to Bafang 850c and speed sensor with Y splitter for lights. The speedometer reading is now about 50% too high according to GPS. Does anyone know what the issue could be? So all the displays have completely different wiring colours, but do the pins in the connectors have default functions? Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I have just one question: there is a lot of effort in modeling the non linearity of the torque sensor and obviously we lose a lot of "resolution" after the first linear segment because we need a lot more kg on the pedal, compared with the 1st linear segment, to increase 1 unit in the torque sensor....
