Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

i'm not sure I'm picturing what you're doing with the luggage scale? I do have one that goes up to 50 lbs, which could be used for the low end readings, but pulling down on it with a consistent force, I'm not sure I can do that without its readings bouncing all over. You pull up in it. Have the cra...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Hi Guys, After having driven 2500 km with a 48V TSDZ2 since May 2020 (without issues :) ) I've decided to give the OpenSource firmware a try. I'm currently already happy with the standard software, but am looking foreward to use the OS firmware. Bought the 860C and build the DIY bootloader box "htt...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I'm looking at the doc page on the Assist level table, and noting the default 20 assist levels went up to 1.50, which if I'm reading correctly, represents 1.50 * human_Watts == amps, 1.5 * 100 watts is 150 amps?!? ... Snip am I totally misunderstanding this? sadly, it was 98F here today, and I just...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Hi guys Maybe especially casainho I was toying with the idea of replacing the motor in the tsdz2 drive unit with another higher quality motor because the drive unit can take a Lot of power but the motor overheats if this is applied continuously. I found a motor with similar kv, but more capable suc...

New firmware version 1.1.0 I would like to get feedback on this new version about possible improvement on the startup delay, as the correction for the issue of the lights may also reduce the startup delay. Thanks a lot for this release. Will give the startup delay a good test this weekend. I was ab...

When I've run Bootcamp and Parallels on my Mac in the past to emulate windows, I had to buy a copy of windows. Now, Microsoft allows one to download a Win 10 iso from their MS website and run it on Mac without activation. I've been using Bootcamp on my Macbook running all the Win apps needed to loa...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Yes, I can pedal easily with the motor off. There are no issues. And when it works after system start up I don't hear any strange noises and everything seems normal. I'm a bit reluctant to open it up again since I already nicely put everything together and silicon sealed the case... Also, all my pr...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

A few people have posted about their brass gear being chewed up even when properly greased. I was going to fit one myself but seeing their photos changed my mind. Instead I've modified my motor to make it easier to change the blue gear on the road, all that's needed is the lock-ring tool and a coup...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

So, unless Casainho says otherwise, I have configured with "Disable" which means that Startup Boost is not active. Boost works, and is easy to empirically test that it is working. The key bug is the fact the enable/disable setting is reversed, though there do seem to be some smoothing issues at hig...

Awop + torque mode + disabled startup boost Those three things should see you getting off the line with plenty of power. Mine absolutely rips with those settings. I am able to outrun 50cc scooters from the traffic lights it has that much acceleration. Could you please give us an idea of your assist...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Have you calibrated the torque sensor? Torque mode for me is very very different to power mode. But perhaps that is because I have AWOP enabled and I always use assist level 10 as a minimum. At this assist level, even the weight of the pedal crank arm is enough to get the assistance going, I regula...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

You are looking for the r0mko 'torque mode fork', I made a specific thread for the discussion of that fork. I have switched to the standard 1.0.0 now and don't find it to be any less responsive at all when compared to the r0mko version. If you want good performance 'out of the blocks' you must have...

Hi Loaded the 1.0.0 with 860C display and all the torque calibration setting etc. Everything works great except sufficient power from a standing start. There seems to be a significant difference in the start up power from the stock firmware and 1.0.0. I live on a hill and with the stock firmware ca...

# # Situation - I feel some delay in the engine's response. When I cycle on sloped roads, with at least 6% slope, what I feel is that in certain situations, if I stop pedaling 1 or 2 seconds and then start again, the engine only responds after I have been awhile push and rotate the pedals, 1 or 2 s...

Hello. I have APT 850C display. I flashed the firmware and it is now dead. I have tried all versions, 0.4-1.0, it is update 100%, but it is not power up. OK. I had a look at the WM150. Not something I would put on a bike unless you can bypass if something goes wrong. I just use my ear's to work out how much current my motor is using ;)

I have the same. The current of my lamp is 280-290mA I think it's a version 1.0.0 bug. Someone on github proposed a fix but I'm not sure it fixes it for everyone. Yesterday I checked ver. 0.9beta2.
