Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Yes!!! That’s the one. Except I read some terrible reviews on Yelp and FaceBook about Luna. Are they still reliable? Takes 3-5 days to ship out. Does anyone recommend buying the Bushnell version? Or are there any other versions available and readily available to ship??? Not sure about Luna. As long...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

HELP! Just got the TSDZ2 motor and my American bottom bracket. I bought a Euro adapter and while the hole seems to line up, but there is not enough clearance for the motor and bottom bracket adapter. The motor hits the casing of the lower bottom bracket. I remember seeing someone selling an offset ...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Update on the eMTB sensitivity poll: 12.5 % uses sensitivity 1 62.5 % uses sensitivity 4 25.0 % uses sensitivity 6 Everyone has so far picked values below 7. I am confirming that eMTB will be updated in one way or another. I have already ideas on how to improve it. Will try to increase the number o...

Casainho.... The Mistery is over !!!!!!! Yesterday I tried x-times flash and no success. In the end was an upgrade of my computer system. Today try to flash the rebell controller again and...... it flashed at the first try.No memory error. is not a problem with the STM8S105x6 limit memory. Uff !!! I...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Ok, installed A6, all work great. DIfference of 0.4V in voltage remains , but i think probably it's an hardware issue because on bikeof my friend (now with A6) the difference remains 0.2V. I dont know if it's useful to provide the possibility of "tune" the reading with a sort of offset defined. Ano...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Yes , Casainho .Ever the problem is the same. Sometimes, I dont know why the arguments in the memory are others diferents values as "00".....''????? Sometimes are values like this... ( At 0x4000) ... CD 00 0A 32 86 01... Maybe there is a limitation of memory for the differents series of STM8S105x4 ...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Very excited to hear that and good to know what sensitivity level you are using! But also what you would prefer. I think it would be possible to improve the formula so eMTB is operating better and can fit your needs with only one assist mode. It should be great in any sensitivity level, that is the...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I don't like the emtb function, I don't seem to have control of the engine. I think you will then like next version with torque sensor full calibration that will be able to detect force on the pedals from 1kg up to 120 kgs, while now it can detect only about the first 30 or 40 kgs (where the first ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hi, I was trying to install an accessory front light (DIY) and seeing some strange stuff. When the LCD3 light is on, the accessory voltage is 2v however when LCD3 light is off the voltage is jumping around 6-9v. And when the LCD3 light is off, i plug in my light the voltage just drops to 0. Is this...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I am interested in converting my cruiser bike coaster brake shimano 3spd IGH to the TSDZ2 motor with coaster brake. Where are you guys buying your kits from? Aliexpress? That is the cheapest I've found so far for ~$330 USD. USA dealers want over $500. http://www.pswpower.com/ven.php?cargo-s210032

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hi everyone. I just bought a 52V TSDZ2 750W motor and I bought a battery from a reputable local shop that is a 16.5 AH 52V battery. The guy at the shop said I should be careful using it with my motor as the battery has a 40A BMS and it might overpower the TSDZ2. Any thoughts on this and if it's an ...

Re: Q Factor offset and potential fixes

They're just small metric bolts with a pin on top. You could put button head capscrews or regular hex head bolts in there. Due to the power of their kits Luna caters to the offroad market. I'm sure there are other back fastened pedals out there. I wear ankle boots with a flat rubber sole and have s...

Re: Q Factor offset and potential fixes

Thanks for posting those numbers. The RH Bafang crank is exactly what I'm running on my TSDZ2 bike. I switched to Shimano cranks on my BBSHD to get 175mm cranks, so my pedal strike situation is worse due to that also. Do you have the normal older TSDZ2 or the new narrow version? I've noticed that s...

Re: Q Factor offset and potential fixes

Yes the first one Original crank arms 206mm (offset 26mm to the right) I meant, before adding the motor. What the human-powered bike originally came with. Isn't that measurement after you added the motor & TSDZ2 crank arms? Ah sorry correct. I don't have the original measurement. It was a pretty st...

Re: Q Factor offset and potential fixes

I have been obsessing over Q Factor for some time now. I bought some replacement cranks and measured against the bundled TSDZ2 cranks. Here are the results for my bike with bottom bracket width 70mm. Did you take a measurement before the conversion for comparison? Yes the first one Original crank a...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I'm making a thinner gear cover to get a few more milimeters on the chainline. Prototype is 1mm thick, and the spacers for the chainring are 3.2mm so it's 3.2mm closer. Still need to shave a few tenths off the cover or make the spacers thinner as it rubs a bit. Maybe I can put it around 0.2-0.5mm c...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I have always felt that the gear changes are taking forever and I always need to be careful when shifting with the TSDZ2. This applies to the original and the open source firmware. But in the development version I am running there have been a lot of improvements that could help with this issue: 1. ...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

You are correct but as the power is a product of voltage and current and the voltage is somewhat constant compared to the current it is safe to explain that more power will equal more heat. In other words, I do not think it does not make sense but if you feel we need to explain this more I am not a...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Yes fine. Of course a battery capable of higher discharge rates will be slightly more efficient at higher currents, but you won't be able to run the TSDZ2 at more than 10-12A for an extended period of time regardless ... as you will overheat and damaged it. Link to the battery? Thanks for the info,...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Is a battery rated 25A Continuous/34A Max Burst going to be fine for running the motor at 15A or even 18A? Does it ever exceed 18A?
