Re: What motor is this?

What motor is this?

I have this motor that says UG48V2000W but not much else. UG might stand for UGBEST. But do they even make motors? Maybe they are not the manufacture but just like to have their initials on it. If i search for QSMOTOR they have a 10 inch hub motor that sort of looks like it. The covers can be differ...

Re: Motor heat

The scooter have a unused connector for selecting 3 gears i think. So i shortened the connector for select gear 3 (i think) so it runs faster. But i am not sure. I could perhaps be running it constantly at boost mode or something like that, that the motor is not suppose to be used in constantly. Wil...

Motor heat

My hubmotor becomes somewhat hot after riding in highest of 3 gears for some times. It becomes hotter on the left side then on the right side. Right side have drum brake. I can hold my hand on it so maybe its normal hotness. It does not have a temperature sensor with the hall sensor wires. How do i ...

Re: Charging battery faster

Do anyone know of a scooter/battery/charger/BMS where you select how fast to charge the battery? Suppose you have a scooter with a battery that can both be charged fast and slow but you prefer slow when you have the time because then the battery will last longer. So maybe there could be a selector o...

Re: DC to DC converter have 3 wires for 48V+

I have not tested what color wire on the inside goes to what color wire on the outside. Next time i take it apart i can take more pictures. What is the point of having red (48v+) always connected to the battery and then yellow (48v+) only when ignition is ON? Why not just only give the DC to DC conv...

Re: DC to DC converter have 3 wires for 48V+

Ok so i guess it makes sense to only give 48V+ to the controller when the ignition is OFF so that any recidual power inside the DC to DC converter cant be used to run the scooter after it is suppose to be OFF. But are you even sure this happens? If the battery have just been connected and i turn OFF...

Re: Charging battery faster

Can i use one charger to charge two or more batteries with a y-cable like this? Will it just charge each battery at half the amp used to charge one battery? Is it a problem if the two batteries are not charged equally? Is it a problem if i connected 10 batteries to one charger like this? Will there ...

Re: See controller LED from outside

I dont care how often is enough i want to see it. It would be nice to have in the speedometer but maybe the speedometer is to basic to be able to show it. I do see some symbols on the display that might be for such things but i have never seen them on besides when you connect the power they will fla...

See controller LED from outside

I have a controller with a LED that flashes x times to show a certain fault if there is any. Sadly the controller is hidden away so normally you cant see the LED. So i was thinking maybe i can stick some fiber optics or some plastic or something over the LED so the light could go outside the scooter...

DC to DC converter have 3 wires for 48V+

Why does my DC to DC converter seem to have 3 wires for 48V+? It has a connect with 4 wires (green, red, yellow, black) and a separate connect with red. Seems like green (-) and red (48V+) is always connected to the battery. And yellow gives 48V+ when ignition is ON. Black is 12V+ when ignition is O...

Two throttles one scooter

What happens if i connect two throttles to the scooter? One of each side of the handlebar. Will it just work happily? How will the signal be if one if fully closed and one if fully open? I guess i would make a switch so only use one at a time but lets say i wanted to do it without a switch. I can so...

What does "(Active low)" mean?
I tried shorting the cruise pin to GND but did not seem to do anything.
I was expecting it to keep the speed when i let go of the throttle.

Re: Unknown 3 wire connector

It seems to be for selecting speed. I can make it have lower and higher top speed by shorting the wires. But i have no idea if i am doing it correctly. I cant find a electrical diagram of a 3 speed control so i can see how the connections are made. If i look in HK2 122.pdf for my controller the thre...

Unknown 3 wire connector

I have this connect that i dont think is connected to anything on my electric scooter. It has a LBMC048122HK2-M6 controller where all the wires goes to. The connector is at the front of the scooter. Maybe its for a 3 gear speed selector. I measure: black/white - blue/white: 3.15 volt black/white - y...

Re: Manufacturer using home made connector

You could also ask, why not make your custom connector? Because if each scooter manufacturer makes they own connect it will become silly that a public charging station would have to offer 100 different connects and keep adding new ones as new models comes to be able to offer charging to all scooter...

What causes a scooter manufacturer to use a home made connector for charging their scooters instead of using some standard? Can a gocharger charge batteries without internet connection?

So i was looking at videos about the gogoro smartscooter where you have 2 batteries under the seat you can swap in a gostation where other batteries are being charged. As far as i know they sold the scooters before you could buy a charger for it. But now you can buy a gocharger to charge two batteri...

In my charger the earth wire are connected from the 240 volt socket into the charger. But there is no earth wire going out from the charger to the battery. Also inside the battery the battery charger socket does not have a earth wire soldered on. So i wonder are there a reason why you would not want...

Re: Charging battery faster

It seems Honda EV-neo might be using lithium titanate cells. Maybe Toshiba SCiB: https://www.toshiba.com/tic/power-electronics/scib-rechargeable-battery Toshiba catalogue looks like it only takes 15 minutes to charge the cell from 0 to 100 %. The "Step-down charging" image which might be from Honda ...
