Re: RH 212 hubmotor split in 2 on my new build e bullit

UPDATE:
Grin is sending a new motor in warranty.
It has apparently happened before with 9C motors, but some years ago.

Re: RH 212 hubmotor split in 2 on my new build e bullit

that looks like a massive earthquake fault or crack. I don't think any kind of epoxy will fix it as the cover has to support spokes. It looks like the bike is tough work to make turns. Yeah, not going to fix this. I can weld aluminium. but even then. I would need to clean up the threads too. And th...

RH 212 hubmotor split in 2 on my new build e bullit

So I managed to kill a RH212 motor from grin. 1.jpg I recently build an electric bullit. (My second e cargo, first one on 2 wheels) And as I have some more disposable income I did not skip on parts. Re: Lithium starting battery recommendation? For large rescue boat.

More looking for premade batteries with type approval. I could build them. But not sure how class approval would like that. And it would take more then 200A these are 800hp 16l 6 cil diesel engines. Theoretically it need 250A at 24V but I think at least double that to be safe given the recommended l...

Lithium starting battery recommendation? For large rescue boat.

Lithium starting battery recommendation? What is the go to brand for lithium starting batteries? Looking for starting batteries for a 13l 800hp marine diesel. Engine has a 7kw starter so at 24V pulls about 300A for 30 seconds. But recommended lead acid batttery would be 800-1000CCA. Note: this batte...

Re: 18650 spot welding -how to- ULTIMATE REPOSITORY

Anyone here ever use this: https://www.amadamiyachi.eu/products/micro-tig-welding ????? Is this something I could do with my AC/DC tig welder. Setting the startupcurrent high but short and the welding current to 0. I can modify a torch to have the conductive base as on this image. I can try it but t...

Re: Replaced my controller. Now only getting 19km/h

OK Update for anyone having a similar problem. In reply to you questions. Yes unloaded speed measured with an extra speedometer was only 19 km/h. I replaced the controller by this one http://www.pswpower.com/ven.php?cargo.2016-3f-33c0 My speed is now 30km/h on throttle only, 34km/h on pedal assist w...

Re: Replaced my controller. Now only getting 19km/h

It might just be a hidden menu option on the display to allow for a higher maximum RPM. Or there is a 3-speed function and it is default in the middle. Are there any connectors not used? I have a list of the controller functions. The only connectors not used at the moment are ebrake and pas. The on...

I tried adjusting the wheel size to as low as 10 ".
But my supicion it is just a shit controller is thus confirmed.

So with a 25usd sinewave controler I should be good? http://www.pswpower.com/ven.php?cargo.2016-3f-33c0

Replaced my controller. Now only getting 19km/h

I have an older sparta emotion C4 ebike. Which I keep as a spare to my main commuter ebike. The bike has a sanyo CMU9 geared front hub motor and runs on 36V Recently I somehow managed to fry the original ananda controller. Pictures: https://photos.app.goo.gl/THCSQSFndmZjPD5R9 I replaced the co...

Re: using a geared hubmotor under water?

I've used air powered tools under water before. But this would need more torque at a slow speed and more portability. An airpowered motor of 500W would take a serious compressor I don't want to haul around. Ik konw the center is stationary, that is the whole idea. Ideally the motor would be inside t...

Re: using a geared hubmotor under water?

Aditonal idea,
If anyone knows a slow rpm geared hubmotor with the cables coming out the end of the axle.
Then I could just machine sleeves that screw over the threaded ends of the original shaft leaving the original shaft intact.
Less work for the same result.

using a geared hubmotor under water?

I would like to build a handheld rotating brush to clean the hull of my boat. Something like this: http://www.maxdepaz.es/clonar/wp-content/uploads/2017/08/2-e1528796902220.jpg On a much smaller scale. I could drive it with a belt from above the water. But having a geared hubmotor in the brush would...

Re: A new fast and stealth cargo ebike

No I haven't. You are right about the spacing. I would like to check beforehand. I have acces to a bullit I could measure. But there are no supermarche's sold in my country so far according to the importer :-( The supermarche has an 8 speed casette. Perhaps a screw on 5 speed would give enough room....

Re: A new fast and stealth cargo ebike

I agree with Dan that a longtail bike would be a better choice overall if you want a fast cargo bike. I have a cycle-truck type front loader with a slightly extended wheelbase, and it works great at low to moderate speeds. At higher speeds, over about 35 kph, it rides too harshly to make sense for ...

So after reading trough this. I think I'm going to build a dual MAC 6 T 20" for my fast cargobike. Bicycle in question: https://www.yubaeurope.com/en/bikes-add-ons/supermarche/85/supermarche But the MAC 6t in a 20 inch rim at 48V is still just 41km/h And I would like to hit 45km/h reliably. Thu...

A new fast and stealth cargo ebike

I have been driving my blue monster for 6 years: https://imgur.com/a/LXcnI Besides this behemoth I also have 2 fast ebikes with bafang BBS02 motors. But I want a fast and stealthy cargobike. The behemoth is too slow (25km/h) and inefficient. The fast ebikes are fun, But I need some cargo capacity. T...
