Re: No-weld 26650 packs - feedback on BatteryBlocs?

I used a 18650 battery bloc battery in my soft ebike bag last year for about 6 months, mainly dirt roads, and it didnt loosen. One tip i have is not to overtighten, i slightly dented ALL the negative terminals on my 18650s and i did not believe at the time i was overtightening as i was being careful...

Re: Torque...

I purchased one of the REVEL kits yesterday, and i like it. It uses a Sempu TS Bottom bracket, and has 160/240/320 watt settings, which seem adequate for mountain biking. They can probably set it up however you want. Its bolt on, I had been looking for about the same thing you are looking for, and t...

Re: Will a Chris King rear hub handle a BBSHD?

I believe the BBSHD has a max torque of 160nm, and the CK ringdrive is rated to 1085nm according to their website. The biggest issues i have with the CK hubs is the soft aluminium driveshell that comes stock. Cheap steel cassettes with individual teeth will chew that thing up notching the splines. Y...

Re: Dave's 80:1 RC mid drive kit build log

For chainring position, i measured from inside of mounting plate to center of motor freewheel teeth, getting 20.4mm and set my motor chainring also 20.4mm from inside of mounting plate in the middle of the wobble( i put 2 X 1mm spacers between the plate and BB cup). I have about 1mm wobble also. Tha...

Re: Tangent 6kw fat bike components

If you are running 5" X 26" tires, 27.5 X 4.5 or 29+(3"/3.25") your tire circumference will be about 15% larger than 26" @ 2.5" tires.

Re: Tangent 6kw fat bike components

my 2c. I agree that steel is going to be a better option for frame durability. A couple pounds of weight isnt going to matter that much with a 6kw motor. I d probably personally go with a Surly for a Fat bike, they are pretty tough, and cheap used on ebay. Onyx racing products make the HGSS-EP hub, ...
