Re: Cyclone 7.5KW Enduro Ebike Swingarm

Anyone have any opinions on or know of any good controllers for the Cyclone 7.5+kw motors? I'd want something thats programmable with strong regen braking that can be variable with second throttle. Ideally something capable of around 150A continuous from the battery for power upgrades. Perhaps a Po...

Re: new cyclone 3000 w mid-drive kit?

Anyone know how to fix the throttle? I have the stock non bluetooth 40a controller and the throttle response is terrible because it's speed controlled not current controlled. Do I need a new throttle or is there another solution? It's manageable on road but not for steeper technical trails. If you ...

Re: Can the Cyclone 3000 Handle a 24s Pack ( 100 volts ) ?

Awful motor for anything but low power ? It then is very much miss-advertised , I really was expecting to , someday in the future on a velo mobile , to get 3k from this motor or at least nearly that much, only 2kw for such a heavy motor is very disappointing . Just the motor weighs 10 lbs , before ...

Re: Can the Cyclone 3000 Handle a 24s Pack ( 100 volts ) ?

The russians did a test and about 18s is where the efficiency starts dropping. After 20s it starts getting massive so 72v is a practical limit. Anyway what are you doing pulling 20-30A? Just pararllel the packs. It is much simpler and can use any 36-72v controller that way. If you want big power go ...

Ah, I see what you meant. Thanks for the input.
Buy a used good condition 2005-2008 mtb, they will still use quick release axle.
These trash tier bike shaped objects aren't half as good new as the others made 10 years ago.

yadda yadda... Thanks in advance! Just buy an m12 bolt with a nut, that is what I have. Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

A friction held bike stem on a heavy machine like this is a terrible idea. Only direct mount should be used. If you need rise, get a higher rise bar, not a long gooseneck stem like a $100 bike.

Hi! Need to make a 12 mm axle for a rear 197mm DT SWISS Hub 350 Big Ride hub, (axle with nuts) What diameter and length (smooth 197mm?) should the axle be? 12mm precisely or should I make it 12,1mm etc? Do you live in the UK? Their shiitty form doesn't support proper addressing. So if your bank requires the correct address, their website won't be able to match it. Anyway, after a few tries they will offer either bank transfer or paypal. One is slow the other one has fees, they won't make you pay f...

I'm not saying if they are right or wrong about something. Your email got read, put off to later, and is on page 3 or 4 somewhere now, and will never resurface. It has happened to me too a few times. Any recommendations or pointers are welcome. Thank you :es: The most important question by far: Can you charge at work? Can you convince them to install the amenities? Re: Cyclone 7.5KW Enduro Ebike Swingarm

I recently found http://www.cyclone-tw.com/ after watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6B5-j6M9ywc . Basically its a Cyclone motor inside a custom swing arm for an Enduro Ebike frame. This allows for a left hand drive and a 9 speed cassette/freewheel for pedaling. https://i.imgur.com/SYqf8Dk.pn...

Also locktite those case screws, mine's already unscrewed itself and small amount of oil has trickled out on the top (case still firmly together). There can also occur some condensation on the inside of the glass. The problem with tightening it is you might crack the glass overdoing it. They now in...

Re: GNG / CYC X1 Pro 3000w

Potted motors can run much cooler. Typically motors are potted wit high thermally conductive epoxy. I KNOW people are going to try running 10,000W through these poor things. Im one of them lol. We're going to see how they hold up compared to cyclones and even the God of mid drives, the Ascent. Once...

Re: Need advise for the Cyclone 4.8 KW coaxial Motor...

I would get a 9 speed 11-46 or 11-50 from aliexpress. The lesser speed chains are thicker and better for ebike use. I have 2000km in a kmc x93 $15 chain now, it is not even the stronger ebike kmc e9 9 speed chain! Also look into a steel freehub body. Also a strong hub, a ratchet sytle hub instead o...

Exactly. The eeb isn't the holy grail, it is a cheap and dirty solution when you aren't bothered with weight, stealth, and off road handling. People are too quick to give all that up.

You didn't say if you can charge at your destination, that would free up some possibilites.

15-20A with light pedaling sounds like ~38-42kmh. Is that the speed you are looking for?
That is not quite eco for the bafang as the original controller is 30A max. :o
