Re: GNG / CYC X1 Pro 3000w
I have to agree, they are a level above everyone else especially from China. A level of service that is not that far from Tangent-Dave actually. They are smart enough to understand in a market as small as this they can't afford to make enemies. Rather take a loss on something for possibility of mak...

Yea, the emoto people use the qs 3kw motor on 20-30kw dirt bike conversions. Even the qs mid drive 1kw is good for more power than a cyclone 3k.

The motor and china battery will struggle to handle 35mph continous comfortably. Motor would handle it except in hot weather.
Drop it to 30mph and you're good.

Re: What the heck is wrong with UPP packs!?
A quick update on my experience. The vendor for one of the packs sent me a replacement. This was the pack that started sparking up and burning a hole through its bag. I've been riding with it for only 20 days and already, it just started to not get a full charge. It stops charging at 53v, whereas i...

Re: GNG / CYC X1 Pro 3000w
When I load it too much it feels like the motor throws itself in reverse and then forwards again, really fast. I had the exact issue, a motor magnet was cracked. Ask cyc for a replacement motor core. Also if the inside of the motor surface is uneven, it might crack your new magnets too, so sand any...

I have simple freewheel rear (16t) and 42t cog front, it is alright to 38-40. For higher speed 44t or 46t front would be better.

Anyone having problems pushing more than ~50A (battery) to their CYC? I have a first gen and running it sensorless with a castle creations talon 120 and a cycle analyst. This setup, using pass-thru throttle is damn near perfect and would easily replace my dead Tangent drive - if it was just able to...

The axle bends for many people, but typically they have 100mm or 120mm version. I don't think the cogs have a lot to do with it though.

Reversing and regen... Fixed clutch is at least an option, if not standard. This is terrible on terrain but may be just an option. It has to do more with the rear clutch more anyway. Although a belt is a bad bet on terrain too, not enough tension with a rear suspension bike. All in all looks like a ...

Re: new cyclone 3000 w mid-drive kit?
Tommm' For example a lot of dirt bike conversions use the 3kw and 4kw QS mid motors, and they use them at 30kw and 40kw peak, without overheating or damage. So the controller that puts out the 40Kw for these dirt bikes might operate at 400amp @100 volt? Or 300 volts at 100amp for the 30Kw. Could yo...

Not possible to comfortably cruise that fast with that much weight without a rear suspension. Then it becomes difficult to find a suitable rear rack for a rear suspension bike.
