Re: Surron throttle not usable for slow speed

Thank you for the reply. This is exactly what I am experiencing. I really thought the x-controller is smoother compared to the standard controller. Or was that issue even worse with the standard controller? Or was that issue introduced with the digital wrist throttle? In the past it was a cable bas...

Re: Ikea Ebike dead wont turn on

Gold plated terminals on connector are corroded. One of them is green. You need to clean it off and also look at the receptacle where the terminal goes in.

Re: How to design a turbo boost

OK well I will have to check that out but who knows whats in the brake dust huh Almost every brake brand has replacement pads on aliexpress between 1 and 2 dollars. I've been using them fine, I have a hunch they come from the same factory as the originals (illicit production runs). The difference i...

Re: How to design a turbo boost

regen/ebraking saves on brake pads, not sure how it suits your riding but I was in your situ but with sane, common sense riding speeds on a bicycle and would go through lots of brake pads. 375lbs + ebike components + bike. With v-brakes I could stand $5 pads, Chalo would report go with salmon kool ...

Re: How to design a turbo boost

Hello, I want to build a small and lightweight but high voltage battery. The point of this battery would be to over volt the motor temporarily to get a ton of speed i.e. 50 mph just for 5 or 10 minutes. I have two batteries 54.6 10 amps that are linked in parallel. The turbo boost would be on an on...

5-6v is good, 7 or 8 would be too much
The connector may be starting to get destroyed for it to start not popping, or you are plugging the charger into the wall first, before connecting it (as you should)

Way too much. A lot of the motors energy would go towards churning the grease like butter.

Very interested by both Mac and Mxusxf19 i hesitate and finnaly bought a Mxusxf15r for the same price than the xf19 or close. Good motor to me (my first build) but it miss some power to me. Now i project to buy a mac or a little dd motor but i'm very curious about the potential of this xf19r. Knowi...

We're way past the quoted lead time and nobody will respond to my calls, texts, or emails. I also just got my email kicked back with a message from my provider saying their email server isn't responding because it's is full. I'm hoping someone here has a line to them and can tell me what's going on...

Re: Rebuilding a 6kW Ebike - need advice re. controller (Sevcon Dragon8)

Icgogo bms are great, highly recommended. The worst part is that there's no sensible instructions on what any config means, so when the translation fails you, your stuck experimenting and hoping not to frock up too badly that it's irreversible. The explanation of the feature is communicated as you ...

Maybe your bearings got destroyed also by the grease liquifying and getting out.

200mm adapter will work for 203mm rotor, you will just need 2 washers under each side of 1.5mm thickness roughly.

Re: ok folks here is the hybrid ebike.

Instead of ac to 36v and then 36v to 40v, why not just use a charger from ac to whatever pack voltage you like? Chargers have a pot in it where you can fine tune the output voltage. I would also consider getting a smaller higher voltage battery, and fitting it to the bike. So you can go on rides wi...

The guilt keeps me up at night, I think of all the pedestrians and cyclists I pass, using my ebike privilege. Ever since I thought about their long boring walks and rides compared to mine, the ebike isn't the same for me.

Re: CYC X1 Pro Gen 2 vs Cyclone 6kW

This is the smaller cyclone aka 3000w cyclone. Power handling ability is same, build quality is better for cyc, still not perfect. Cyclone is obviously cheaper. The bac2000 is not a perfect fit for the cyc, it cuts out on sudden hard loads. (Yes even the manufacturer does not have a working config f...

Easy. Fill the gap caused by the sloppy tolerance by forcing in a bit of cut off hose clamp, into the slot between the axle and the motor. You sound like the eBikeLing tech support guy. I would rather have some made correctly to begin with. Besides if you look at my builds then you will realize I d...

Torque Arms(2048).JPG The Torque Arm on the left is from eBikeLing and it is stamped ( the tooling marks are obvious ). The hole measures 10.25mm by 14.0 mm on the front face. It is a bit larger on the rear face ( another result of having been stamped out ). The one of the right is a six year old T...

for sprinting around town up to 40mph with a couple hills.
