Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I would like to share with the Forum what I did on the TSDZ2 engine to improve heat dissipation. Would be important if you could share also on the wiki, on the specific page for this topic. Maybe you could even create a new page with all this information, adding your name on the page and then link ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hi, What improves heat dissipation a lot is using a good Thermal Pad - TP - with high heat conductivity. The heat sinks help a lot to lower the temperature. But the best thing to prevent the temperature from rising is to install a good thermal pad. I made several measurements with various temperatur...

Hi all, I would like to share with the Forum what I did on the TSDZ2 engine to improve heat dissipation. Part 1 I acted in 3 areas: 1 - Installation of Thermal Pad according to what is described in this forum. 2 - Installation of heatsinks in the motor housing 3 - Lubricate the engine with a grease...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

New firmware version 1.1.0 I would like to get feedback on this new version about possible improvement on the startup delay, as the correction for the issue of the lights may also reduce the startup delay. Hi, Thanks Casainho for the new firmware version. Unfortunately I can't test the firmware rig...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Traget current is compared with motor current which is calculated as Motor current = Battery current / duty cycle basically If motor current < target current then duty cycle ramps up . Hi Bojan, It is good to realize that the problem, which I call "Power Delay" is being solved. Power Delay often ma...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

This may or may not help some of you guys. During my port of the code, I had a problem with the way motor current is calculated from battery current. In my setup I had a little too much noise on the current reading from battery (4 or 5) LSB and that stopped the duty cycle from ramping up. I'll expl...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

Boost works, and is easy to empirically test that it is working. The key bug is the fact the enable/disable setting is reversed, though there do seem to be some smoothing issues at higher power levels. In fact if you have it "disabled" in your settings, you are actually using it ;) Thanks Mctubster...

= . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Regarding Startup Boost that many people speculate about, I don't understand why they still continue to use and test it. We have to believe and trust Casainho who has already informed us that Startup Boost is not working. It is written in the Firmware c...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive with 860C, 850C or SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

# # Situation - I feel some delay in the engine's response. When I cycle on sloped roads, with at least 6% slope, what I feel is that in certain situations, if I stop pedaling 1 or 2 seconds and then start again, the engine only responds after I have been awhile push and rotate the pedals, 1 or 2 s...

It is certainly the result of a lot of work and effort. Secondly, the problems I detected are difficult to feel on flat terrain. It is nece...

Sounds really interesting, in the way not to have the need for a display and obtain integration with our existing devices. A smartphone or a Garmin watch/cycle computer can be used, in case, instead. My humble opinion is to keep the physical ( wired to the motor ) 3 or 4 button pad, in order to do ...

Why not just use the Mosfet in your BMS? Most of them have an option for a button to disable the output. On my chinese bluetooth BMS i can disable the output by BLE, too... Because the idea is to replace the current on/off button of display to a on/off switch controlled by the wireless board, so th...
