Re: DHL now flying electric planes.

All I really want to know about is the batteries.

Whats the chemistry? are they solid state? Are they hot-swappable?

Re: Ivermectin/Covid info

To be clear... I am pro vaccine, and have been vaccinated with Moderna. Ivermectin is no substitute for vaccinations. If you have been vaccinated, and now are infected with the Delta variant (*or Lambda)...you can take aspirin and Ibuprofen, along with vitamins, rest, and hydration. It will not hurt...

Re: Ivermectin/Covid info

I am not a doctor, and Ivermectin cannot be purchased for human consumption without a doctors examination and prescription.

If you are treating a dog for internal parasites, the dose is
0.1 mg per pound (0.2 mg/kg) once for gastrointestinal parasites
For a 100-lb dog, the dose is 10 mg.

Re: Ivermectin/Covid info

Any benefit derived from adding Ivermectin to your personsl health protocol is by the Ivermectin removing the virus' ability to try to hide from antibodies as long as possible. The real soldiers are your immune system, and the customized antibodies that are sent out to "search and destroy"...

Re: Build your own Battery Kit to start a beginner?

If you want to build a pack yourself, I dont recommend it, but...I understand the appeal. Heres a link thats a good start on the research... https://www.electricbike.com/introduction-battery-design-1/ Perhaps consider building a small 4S LiFePO4 jumper box, to start your car when its battery is low?...

OSE is Off Shore Electrics...QS8 8mm-pin connectors https://www.offshoreelectrics.com/proddetail.php?prod=ose-qs8-anti I like female XT60's for the battery side, as a charging connection (5A-10A?), and for power ranges up to temporary peaks of 50A, I'm happy with the battery having a female XT90. If drawing more than 30A per cell, nickel is more of a resistor than a conductor.

Consider the option of flat pouch cells from a hybrid car.

Re: Are Anderson PowerPole connectors the de-facto standard?

Andersons are quite adequate for an indoor charger (typically 10A or less), but I find them to be bulkier than necessary for ebikes between the battery and controller (or any other ebike connection). I am uneasy using them for high amps. The larger Andersons are quite fat. The ones on forklifts are ...

Please keep politics out of this thread. Anti-vaxxers can be found in both political parties. I can only speculate as to motives, but I suspect that the "powers that be" fear that any information about alternative therapies will encourage citizens to avoid vaccinations, even more than what...

Re: kWeld - "Next level" DIY battery spot welder

The few times I have seen a used kWeld for sale, it had no problems finding a buyer, at 60%-80% of the new price. The sale typically was not due to unhappiness with performance, but once a pack or two was built...a few months later the owner felt that they were unlikely to build another pack and wis...

Re: Fuse-wire for individual cells, DIY Tesla style

I like using magnets over copper-foil on the negative end for a "cold connection", but some people don't like that (I don't know why). The positive end is very robust, and I think even soldering nickel ribbon or copper ribbon would not hurt the positive (with proper tools and methods). I'v...

Re: Fuse-wire for individual cells, DIY Tesla style

Thanks ENNOID.

The 4.0-Joules of energy to spotweld a fuse-wire onto a cell is insanely low. That's an awesome method of connection to the negative end of the cell, to guarantee that there's no damage to the interior of the cell...

Thanks for that link. I am pro-vaccines, and I have been vaccinated with Moderna. That being said, Dr Mobeen from India also has some useful information. Re: Electric tractor motors

If the cargo is two tons (4,000 lb), then I suspect the loaded vehicle will have no problems with traction. 4K lbs is the weight of a full sized pickup truck with a V8. Thats heavy, certainly, but... You are gearing it to 5 MPH with 24-inch tires. Full-sized commercial aircraft are maneuvered at the...

Re: Electric tractor motors

The heavy load and slow wheel-speed call for a high reduction. Cylindrical motors such as the QS 138/70H would be easier to package and mount under the cargo bed, but it is "possible" to use a hubmotor for a chain-drive to an axle, though i do not recommend that. I appreciate the simplicit...

Re: Does anyone make "small" 52v batteries?

You might consider the EGO lawn tool batteries. They have a high-amp 7.5-Ah pack. They are labeled "56V", but they are definitely 14S / 52V nominal.
