Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

If the motor overheats , does it switch off as if switched off from button (display goes off) or motor just becomes unresponsive and display stays on ? Can you switch on immediately after that and ride on ? I am not sure if i have problem with battery connection or the motor actually overheats. Whi...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Hi,

I have VLCD6 and installed marcoq version of opensource firmware.
I noticed that throttle does not work with marcoq's version , is it just me , or it is a known bug ?

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hi, Are there any outcoming wires that are constantly having 3,3v or 5v , even when the motor is turned off ? I am building a battery and would like to add GPS tracking, but not sure should i add it directly to battery (need to decrease voltage) or i can get power to GPS from motor. I think you hav...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I've read that the TSDZ2 motor is very fast on temperature. It all depends on what version. As all the 36V versions have the same hardware and all the 48V versions have the same hardware, obviously the higher wattage models will heat up a lot quicker. It will be hard to heat up a 250w version and e...

Where are you going to fit the battery on that bike??
I will make my own U-shape battery of fiberglass and hang it underneath the downtube.
I have not decided yet , should it be 2P or 3P

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

If you open the tsdz2 cover to get acces to the controller , change the cover screws. After opening it twice , i've now got two stripped screw heads. Resized_20190224_205530_4339.jpeg Various epoxies claim to fix this type of failure, but they replace a material that failed with something weaker. T...

I'm thinking he only removed it to gain access to install the fasteners, then reinstalled it. Maybe.... If you removed torque sensor, how do you plan to activate the motor assistance?? Using only PAS?? Yes correct , just removed the torque sensor to gain access. I did not want to risk drilling thro...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hi, I cannot use the motors torque arm to hold the motor in position , so maybe I can drill holes into the gear housing and fix the motor to frames chainguide mount (ISCG-05). It's a downhill frame. Letting it hold up against the dt will look weird and compromises ground clearance. There is room on the back and I would like to tilt it backwards

Re: My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000

I want this bike and like this color. Tax to Norway is high + 25%, total price 4500 USD. Or this with same motor. VAT is high everywhere in Scandinavia and EU. I live in Estonia, maybe with shared transport the total price will be lower. I guess 800$ is just for air transport. Maybe sea transport h...

Re: My Bafang Ultra Mountain Bike! Frey AM1000

Hi My current bike is a 250w 36v bafang hub hardtail. I like light MTB's and use it predominantly riding to office and having fun on the way. My daily commute is about 8km Therefore i've got only 5Ah 42v battery, that gets me to the office for two days, but i usually charge it every day, like my sma...
