Re: GNG / CYC X1 Pro 3000w

Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out how to change gears on mine without crunching.... I guess slow down pedaling enough so that the PAS stops? It is strange... Okay, I figured it out: Hook up the throttle, and when you want to change gears, you want to quickly push the throttle to WOT, then let of...

Re: GNG / CYC X1 Pro 3000w

Has anyone gotten the throttle to work well on the stock 14s controller? It is terrible, even with the latest firmware. Super slow and when you hit the throttle from a stop, the motor oscillates and then shuts down. On PAS it is fine. I can't understand why a simple throttle control could be so har...

Re: GNG / CYC X1 Pro 3000w

Hi you asking for alot poted vs unpoted. Motors I am no pro i would take unpoted motor . I can mod it Best of luck Potted motors can run much cooler. Typically motors are potted wit high thermally conductive epoxy. I KNOW people are going to try running 10,000W through these poor things. Im one of ...

Re: GNG / CYC X1 Pro 3000w

Wow, I like the new kit in all black, with the torque sensing bb. I run my bike in motorcycle mode the whole time at the moment. The gear sensor adaptation is what I need for realistic PAS riding, but I'd prefer the torque sensor over that any day. I can't stop pedaling to change gears (to trip the...

Re: GNG / CYC X1 Pro 3000w

sI laughed when Eric was confused about the price, early in the video he was hinting that it was not worth $ 600 , then one of his crew clicked on the GNG website and showed it is $ 800 which got Eric even more disappointed in it. Eric , it was $ 600, $ 638 give or take a couple of U.S. dollars, bu...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

The Sur-Ron motor is getting hot in the summer heat. Touching the motor starts to burn my hand after 5-10 seconds. I had a feeling this would be an issue once the summer hit and outside temps are 90F. I am really not sure how hot this motor should feel considering it is different than a hub motor. ...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

I have never had problems with lifting up the wheel with 52T at low speed. Especially easy off road! The stock 48T is not fun at all, I admit. New X controller, "V2" is sick! 90DC Amps and 450Phase. The difference is really there. And when I drop in the 13p 30Q battery the bike is really wild compa...

Re: GNG / CYC X1 Pro 3000w

Luna did a livestream on it. The motor core is smaller than the bbshd, it spins faster though and the coils and the hall are fully potted so heat shedding is better, but servicability is low. The motor is 3.7 kg as stated on website but with controller it is the same ~4.5 as the bbshd. A bit of a b...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Took my bike into Manhattan for the first time. I was worried about bringing this beast of a bike on my local ferry boat that I need to take in order to get into Manhattan. They do allow bikes and electric bikes, but the Sur-Ron is more like a motorcycle than an electric bicycle. Luckily they didn'...

Re: GNG / CYC X1 Pro 3000w

So how does this compare to the larger Cyclone 3000W? It looks to be a very well made motor in a very attractive package, but does it hold up to psychos like me that are never satisfied with stock speeds and power? Im tempted to buy one just to see how long it survives at 5Kw. Tony Vo on the Facebo...

Very easy to cut. 110Hz in the Gates Belt drive App. Take a look at the manual then you will understand better. Yes its the mudhugger.

Thanks Allex, works fine and is much more silent. Runing 11KW on my Surron and it works perfect. I have around 110Hz in the app.
Nice! How was cutting the frame?

What do you mean by 110 hz?

Also, is that the mudhugger rear fender? looks good!

Re: Echo 58v and Greenworks 60v in parallel

Has anyone created a “receiver”, a 3D printable connector? Or how are others utilizing these? I just ordered one of these for my Greenworks 60V http://minne.us/grabpower/ Specifically this one: http://minne.us/shop/80vadapter/ I confirmed with the seller that it should work on the 60V battery as we...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

It seems the calipers on the bike will make noise unless you squeeze them extremely hard when rocking the bike back and forth with the front brake pressed. There must be a bit of play in at least the front caliper. I swapped out new front pads but still hear the noise. The noise does go away if I s...

Nice battery mount! Where did you get that? I had a similar triangle pack, but couldn't figure out a nice way to mount it. Using a triangle bag seemed janky.

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

The asi bac videos make me think the stock controller doesn't have field weakening. The sur rons in videos rotinely go up to 55-60 on just 18 or 20s. There was some mention that the X controller had field weakening, but that seems very unlikely. The X controller has exactly the same top speed as th...
