Re: $299 Prototype High Power e-Bike Frame DIY Kit

Okay so at least they won't destroy it (I keep thinking this is stupid lawmaking). You could easily get it resent with "proper" paperwork as a retail frame, all hope is not lost ! Just as a curiosity, would it change anything is the bike wasn't a sale trade ? (like idk a gift or even yourself shippi...

Re: $299 Prototype High Power e-Bike Frame DIY Kit

Some customs are better informed, some of them are not. I've read it, and found some points supporting my experience: paragraphs (22), (23), (25), (26) and others clearly mention the fact that the product is placed on the market. Here, you're not importing for resell (you're not a distri...

Re: $299 Prototype High Power e-Bike Frame DIY Kit

Yes, I received mine at german customs but I could not take it with me because of EU laws. Product has no manufacturer whos responsible, no framenumbers, no discribtion, no data, etc. Absolut bull**** ! Even if I agree this is complete crap, this is not a EU regulation. I'm in France, and there is ...

I've mailed Lee last evening, got a reply later that night, paid him this morning and my welder was sent 20 minutes later.
If his work is half as good as his service, I don't have to worry about the quality of the tool :bigthumb:

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

Quick question, can the VLCD6 display the temp sensor value with this firmware ?

I saw min/max temp settings in the configurator, does anyone uses it with success ?

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

You should read the OpenSource firmware wiki pages as the answer is clearly there. Thanks, I didn't see the wiki before (I'm not really familiar with github). I now have my answer for the KT display, but I wasn't able to find the same for the VLCD6 display (with Qmarco firmware flashed on controlle...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I've read the last 20 pages or so of this thread and I'm more and more interested in this drive for my next build. ATM, I only have a few questions, maybe I missed the answer, or maybe it's in the 165 pages I didn't read  I'm planning to buy a 48V version with VLCD6, because I'm looking for a ...

[EU] Montague Paratrooper

Hello, I'm looking for a Montague Paratrooper for a new project. It does not have to be a complete bike (missing fork, wheel or drivetrain isn't a problem, I will consider any option), but I'm not looking for an ebike (no motor, controller or battery needed). Preferably a post 2016 model (with the n...

Re: Kepler Bottom Bracket Friction Drive For Sale (Finally)

Just one thing with this mounting position, you will need to move the pivot point further to the front of the bike if you want it be able climb the tire. For now, I will leave it there, because it would be a headache to move it forward. I just understood why I would not work... I'll try to p...

Re: Kepler Bottom Bracket Friction Drive For Sale (Finally)

Thanks for the advice. The motor currently does not touch the tire (but is very close). For now, I will leave it there, because it would be a headache to move it forward. I would have to drill and tap the brackets, which is the easy part. The spring adjustment system cannot fit much forward, and I u...

Re: Kepler Bottom Bracket Friction Drive For Sale (Finally)

A question: are there any build threads around? I know all about Kepler's results, but I'd like to see how average punters have got on putting a Kepler build together and what their experiences have been using it. It's not a proper thread and I didn't really use the drive, but I'm an average bloke ...

Oh, nice ! I didn't find any mention of that in the wiki so I was looking for the proper sensor. Thanks !
Is the throttle "sensor direction" also configurable ?

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. Is 0V interpreted as no brakes and 5V as max brakes ?
I'm trying to figure out what hall sensors would fit.

I had a similar experience. Order paid on 11/24 after several emails to get a proper quote (they only offered express shipping for their battery bag, twice as expensive as the bag itself), and shipped on 12/7. It took 1 PM to Moon on ES and two emails to know my order was shipped (and the trackng nu...

Thank you for the explanations !
I don't plan on using an external battery monitior since it's already on the display, it's just embedded on the combo and I'll leave it unwired.

Re: Nucular electronics - complete kit for ev! [beta]

I'm starting to prepare my wiring for this controller (6F but I doubt it makes any difference). I have a combo throttle/key switch/battery voltage thingie, and I was wondering how to wire it to the display. From what I understand of the "Display back panel" schematics, the switch needs to short GND ...

Re: [EU] Thread-on single speed adapter/spacer for freewheel thread

I understood. But if I ask here, it's because I've already looked how I could have one made locally, and it wasn't an acceptable solution either because no-one would make less than 5 (@ ~30€/pc) or because the single piece was more than $80.

Re: [EU] Thread-on single speed adapter/spacer for freewheel thread

Maybe, but I don't want to deal with the sale 19+ unused parts.
So, if anyone knows where I could find one of these used or new at a decent price, or if anyone want to make one for said decent price, feel free to post. Other answers/remarks are not needed, thanks.

It looks something like this :

Used or not, basicaly as long as it is usable I may be interested.
I'm in the EU but if shipping is reasonnable I don't mind where it comes from.

Thanks !
