Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Made repair sensor. Pasted a thin layer of PCB, and adjust the position of the sensor, set 25. Everything works great! Saved $ 100.

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

After another heavy trip through the mud with water, I decided to disassemble the motor for prevention. There was water behind the gear cover (I am now redoing the protection cover and installing a rubber seal for a tighter connection, later I will show what happened). I took off the torque sensor ...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I ride a lot on the tsdz2 motor (more than 3000 km, using 36 volts and 48 volt motors with 36 and 52 volts batteries). I still use firmware 18.2 (I tried the newer firmware, but returned to 18.2). I use the motor a lot in difficult conditions: mountains, mud, subzero temperatures. I like almost ever...

I'm going to steep hills. So I need a little gear in front. I bought a 104bcd spider for TSDZ2, but it is without a rubber seal. Need to install.

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hey. There is an old and new version of aluminum spider on tsdz2. The new version comes with a smaller diameter for the rubber seal. But the old version comes with a big rubber seal. Who can help determine the parameters (dimensions in mm) of the old version of the rubber seal?

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I also often come across the disconnection of motor assistance due to the displacement of the magnet on the spokes. On the other hand, this tells me that I need to adjust the position of the magnet so that all motor functions work correctly (measuring distance, speed, etc.) But disabling the speed s...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hi! I've been riding a tsdz2 for a while now, with the open-source firmware. It works quite good, not as good as my former bosch performance but it works. I burned the 48v motor some times ago, I hope because of some water that could get in the motor (the cover was not totally waterproof because a ...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Hello buba. I have a question. In which field can I see how much total energy was spent by the motor on my trip? I understand this data is recorded in the data energy field? Or in the battery field? I have already driven about 400 km on this motor with a new firmware, and I really like it! great job...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Hi casainho and buba! One of the main problems in the TSDZ2 motor is cadence, which is greatly reduced with a drop in battery voltage. One solution is to use 11S or 12S batteries for 36V and 14S for 48 volts. I want to share my opinion and find out the possibility of implementing constant cadence, w...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I went back and I say your pics of the other cracked motor. I wonder what exactly causes the motor to crack. 1. In my case, the front non-drive side bottom bracket attachment ears hit the frame. I believe as the motor twists in the bottom bracket it causes the ear to push the motor out and ends up ...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Okay, made it. The 36v factory setup doesn't work with 48v battery. (probably voltage is too high according to the preset and controller doesn't allow the motor to engage). Tested it with 36V battery. Very cool. Vitus Dee 29ER with Shimano nexus 3 speed hub (22 cog at the backwheel), 14,2ah 36v Wil...

Dude you could be right, I'm just using some cheap luggage scales.
Yes, 19 kg is more suitable for 26 full suspension. I have about the same characteristics, but at 29 and 14S5P GA. It weighs 21 kg.

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

My reason for buying a 36v with 36v battery was to minimise weight. My dual suspension bike is only 17.5kg, my Trek Powerfly is more like 25kg and you can feel the difference. If you are running stock then the 48v motor has more power, my friend always rides in level 2 and to keep up I had to ride ...

I put 0.16 firmware with the throttle. and I have a comment. my choke only works on on - off (probably at full capacity). settings in 9 menu I see that the throttle pressing on different level changes also to the different level.

Hi. I do not have a special key for loosening this nut. I took a thick flat screwdriver and unscrew it with a hammer counter-clockwise. P.s. But after it turns out to unscrew this tricky nut with the bearing, the shaft will not be able to remove. To extract it, it is necessary to remove the oil seal...

Hi.
I am looking for the original firmware (.hex) TSDZ2 engine for the VLCD5 display with trottle, because I lost the copy of the original by uploading it "Open ... flexible .." which works only with KT-LCD3 and my engine can not be started.
