Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Sorry, in my opinion, by doing the tests, you add a lot of centerpieces from weight, steepness of road, speed, lost in the drive, lost of tires. And that are the same conditions on both tests, right?? Both motor and pedals pull the bicycle wheel using the same chain. I guess we would have to discou...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Proposal for validating measured human power As others did mention before, I wish we could validate our current measurement of human power as it seems an high value. Human power is pedal cadence * force applied on the pedals. For pedal cadence, I think we can trust very well on our current measurem...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Hi, if you mean the backwards (forward) counting of the battery mW , then I can say that I am a fan of this feature and I use it regulary! For me one of the highlights :-) And why? Can you please elaborate and compare with the other mode?? For me this is the only reliable way to calculate the expec...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Usage of battery SOC based on Coulomb counting I wounder how many users are using this feature on LCD3. LCD3 implements 2 different ways to measure SOC: battery voltage and Coulomb counting. There is an user reporting incorrect working of Coulomb counting SOC but I think is a bad configuration he d...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I think the function is implemented in the setup menue under item 7.2 Curent ramp up per second . Standard is 5, can be set up to 10. I would like to set it up to 12-15 if you ask me. Will remember this for the next version. Definitely possible to increase the current ramp up. Hi, I made mesurments...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Hi, I made mesurments with input by an old style analog torque wrench and the values shown at menue 9.2 Input Value 9.2 0 Nm 50 10 Nm 60 20 Nm 69 30 Nm 78 40 Nm 91 50 Nm (98) maybe not fuly correct I hope this helps to improve the calculation of input power. I am ready for testing :-) Maybe we can t...

Just some testing on the inverse ramp factor to reduce lag Hello, I'm new to this forum. I just installed and flushed Kt-lcd3 with my TSDZ2. I also experience this lag which you have mentioned before and would love to fix if but I don't now how. I already checked WiKi and watched your video about i...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Hi, I have installed 19.8 on 36V motor and battrie Thank you for this!!! - I like the new button logic. - The change from road mode to offroad mode I cannot real understand, because it is not logical to for me to swich to road mode through a button code. It is running well in my opinion but followin...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Does opensource firmware support optimal rider cadence? Something like a cadence-related power setting curve? So, bikers would be encouraged to pedal a bit faster instead or ruining their knees with super low cadence and max pressure plus max support? Under cadence 30, the motor would give only 30%...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Hi, I had some requests regarding error blinking 1 and I have asked ho to make it better for me, because I sometimes got stucked on steep sections. But frankly spoke, I just swiched off the setting to power on without pedal rotation and I was suprized how fast the power came in the first 10th of my ...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I am holding the brakes, (Old Hydraulic Hayes 9 DH breakes with 200 disks, but not compatible to sensor) of course! But my foot is just resting on the pedal without pushing. Thats why I am asking for a threshold! The idea is not adding new features that brings more complexity. I want to keep firmwa...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

...... Both issues would be solved with a solution above in my opinion. For my setup with a relative weak 36V batterie , I cannot see the use of this feature. Yes, that feature is to protect against possible unintentional locking of the pedals. The feature was working well before but on last beta v...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Hi, Regarding Blinking 1, I see the use of it , but also feel the problem in traffic light, or when you just stop and talk with friends, My saddle is quite high, so my foot is restng on the pedal when I stop. Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Can we jack up the cadence on the 48v with the opensource firmware? (I saw some options on the wiki but were "experimental", any side effects?) Asked the same but it looks like there isn't. There are probably two options, one is to get just the 36V motor and replace existing one, another is to run ...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Hi, could it be that you stand on the pedal while waiting? I think there is a timeout of 5s (10s at 19.6 ) leading to this. I never stand on pedal when I power up display or stand on traffic lights etc. I always keep my both legs on the ground. I don't understand what timeout means in this. Where i...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I’m wondering ”blinking 1” problem. I used to drive before beta4 and the problem came up often. It is annoying when stopping traffic lights and ”blinking 1” comes on the screen and after that there is no assist at all. This happened quite often and sometimes helped when the display was restarted. L...

I suggest you to look at current wiki pages and do like that, using the options to show images, links to external sites and the Table Of Contents (TOC). You will need to upload the screenshots/images, but you can do first on your github account, you can created a wiki page for testing and do there,...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Interesting for me: to get about 350W input power, I have to set about 700W. Can this be plausible? This is normal, because to get 100 % input level, you need 100% torque at a very high cardence. So it is comon to put in maybe 1400 W at the high assist levels. Once you found good values, the system...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I have Problems falshing the firmware. I was able to flash the display and it shows is 88888-Screen now as expected. Also, changing the battery to 24V with the original Software (changing the data field) worked. But: with STLink/Swin/STM8S105x4 the STVisualProgrammer floods with error messages like...
