Re: Serial Hybrid Project
I wonder if this connection may be relevant to your work - a system for storing ammonia: http://www.amminex.net/ Hey Paul - yeah, their CTO (Tue Johannessen) and I have been at a couple of ammonia fuel conferences together. The storage medium is a magnesium chloride salt that soaks up ammonia, you ...

Re: EV-1 Conversion
I read your elegantly written thesis. I found no typos or grammatical errors - I didn't check the maths - not my strong point. But one thing bothers me (not wishing to rain on your parade): From page 26 we have: "These fuel economy values are equivalent to 42.3 city and 72.2 highway miles per U...

Re: Michelin Active Wheel System
Michelin Active Wheel is definitely the future. I read somewhere that it uses 5 times less energy than a conventional transmission. I think it might be an idea to combine it with a small diesel-electric generator (as in the Volkswagen XL1 concept car). Diesel is the most concentrated form of energy ...

Hey Jason,
You should have put those fans on the back side of the boot(trunk). Then instead of sucking the back seat passengers into the trunk you would have had electric jet-assist!

Re: Does anyone have numbers on Hydrogen?
This (which is posted already somewhere here): http://www.engadget.com/2010/10/27/dbm-energys-electric-audi-a2-completes-record-setting-372-mile/ would suggest that batteries can be good enough not to necessitate going the hydrogen route. However, some hydrogen storage (beit as hydrogen, ammonia, am...

It's a plot to get the water aerated for free. A bit like Tom Sawyer charging people to paint his fence. "Pay me $100 to have a go". Giant fish tank bubbler!
