Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

@engate - Sounds like your pretty frustrated with this bike, but in general whats your thought on the Qulbix vs Vector frames? I'm primarily deciding between a Qulbix 76 and Vector Typhoon (and their respective mid drives but they cost too much and might get me in trouble). In particular: 1. Do you...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

spray some water on it and then pull away hard .... see if the buzzing noise stays away. if so then you can provide the edges of the belt (not the tread / teeth themselves) with a thin layer of bee wax or other natural fat without plasticizers that can damage the rubber of the belt. I tried basical...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

Luna belt drive kit. It's nice and quiet, but there is an issue what was discussed on their facebook page and confirmed that "this wookie growl sound is normal". Unfortunately they deleted the discussion to hide the facts from future customers. The issue is a buzzing sound if you accelerate hard.If y...

Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

benjamin there's a huge difference between what you rode and what I did. Your journey was a moderate LONG incline at full speed mostly where the motor is the most efficient. The motor had a lot of time to dissipate the heat. Meanwhile mine was really really steep short one and a really SLOW (<10km/h)...

Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

There's another guy on YouTube showing a full ride and I was shocked about the quick overheating. He has the slowest gearing and even on street he reaches 120 degree. Don't know why but if this is normal this md140 sucks hard for what I expected and compare to surron/lmx bikes. Compared to sur ron ...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

A new one will break as well. So I just simply won't buy another one.(because the dealer in Hungary told me that if something breaks like that that's not under warranty.)
We welded it instead. The welder told me that he never seen such a poor quality thin metal in years to hold a rear fender

Well this rear mudguard didn't last long. It broke off at 70km/h.. It wasn't a pleasant experience.

Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

You can adjust the throttle response and the eco mode in the kelly app. Ask qulbix to send the app to you. BUT by adjusting the throttle response it will be smoother, but you won't have instant max power.I just simply ditched the stock throttle because I couldn't get used to it. It was simply a bad 1...

Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

Mine is currently unoperational. I bent the rear shock mount axles. I had to cut one with an angle grinder unfortunately.A lot of hard landings with too soft spring.. Regarding the fox 40,it's so much better! It takes hard landings softly. The DNM bottoms out really hard.Stiffness is also superior.T...

Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

Yeah the 27.5 should be fine. Both the fork and the rear shock has arrived along with the dropper offset crown. Front fork has been installed without any issues.Turning angle is just slightly less. I'll need to re-design the 3d printed CA3 mount.I installed it with the original mount for now.I order...

Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

Yeah the DNM is good for general use. I destroyed mine this week. It's leaking oil and losing air pressure. DNM quality..That fox 40 sold out really really fast, about 1-2 people bought one every day.Including me. I'll post some pictures once I installed it.The rear shock is getting replaced as...

That e-bike fork is probably bit a beefier than a normal one. But it's still not as strong as a FOX40 :)

Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

I won't switch to a 27.5 rim. 26" looks ugly already with the 19" rear wheel. There isn't a huge difference. You can use the 26" wheel with the 27.5 fork. And yes I wanna switch the rear shock too. It's not a must tho.. it works pretty well.but not as well as a FOX DHX2  Because you live in the ...

DVO Emerald has similar crown offset like a FOX 40 Rockshox boxxer test fit. It's not bad at all! https://i.imgur.com/wwZZsVI.jpg https://i.imgur.com/HIuh8Wx.jpg The DNM crown has about 29mm offset https://i.imgur.com/cH7mFp6.png With a crown offset kit like this the FOX40/Boxxer could have similar ...

Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

It will be hard to explain the police what this is without pedals :D. Pedals are shit for sure once you tried the footpegs, but you can get used to it.I destroyed the dnm fork last week, seems like I need a new one :( small bump sensitivity is basically gone even at low speed. The bump must be at least...

Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

The max speed at full charge is about ~50-53. Once the voltage drops it decreases to about 45. I calibrated it based on GPS speed. You need to do that in the CA if you change the chainring. If you need more speed go with the "mid" one. I sadly can't do that yet because it overheats way quicker. My rid...

I will probably still buy an electric motocross bike at some point :P Maybe the next generation Freeride if the range is increased another 50%! Can never have enough electric toys :D
or just buy a Zero FX 7.2. It has great range, and way more power.

Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

If you go for the moto seat you can put a lot of stuff under that.Co2 cartridges, spare tubes, tube repair kit, multi tool, etc :) I also put the light battery there.and there's still a lot of space to fill up.

Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

The throttle input now goes into the Cycle analyst and through that to the controller. Throttle response is now perfect. 3 Button Up/Down Digital Aux Input has been added as ...

Re: Qulbix Q140MD VS. LMX VS. Neematic VS.???

Do you think you could do a 10 to 15 minute uncut video? Everything from hill climb to top end speed? I recorded a ~25 min video with multiple hill climbs, and full throttle whenever possible :) You can find the youtube url in the other thread. I managed to overheat the bike at the end of the video.

Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

Engate: I too have pondered upgrades. What are your thoughts on the suspension? The rear suspension is fine, but a fox shock would be better OFC. The front is fine as well as long as you don't ride fast on off road.Once you do it's pretty much garbage.small bump sensitivity is very bad.and it's very...
