Re: bluetooth BMS?

Hi I have a jbd-sp30s005 bms hooked up to a 24s20p pack with 30Q cells. When the bms is balancing there is voltage spike on certain cell groups what triggers over voltage as well so my charger turns on and off every 5 seconds. Is it normal behavior or the bms is faulty? Also the cells are out of bal...

Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

https://photos.app.goo.gl/pPdsbB2Fu6AENzEv5 I loved my qulbix as well until I bought a sur ron  Even tho sur ron is only 5kW,it's way more fun because of the low center of gravity, and smaller size. After buying a sur ron I never touched my qulbix again. The qulbix feels top heavy, overheats quick...

Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

I sold this junk, and bought a custom electric ktm with 35kW power,~5.2kwh battery. The motor barely gets warm even after torturing it really hard. It's impossible to overheat it :D and all that with 120km/h top speed gearing.

Sevcon Gen 4 size 6 fault with shunt

Hi Anyone had similar issue with cycle analyst and sevcon gen 4? When I put the shunt between the B- and C- the controller shuts down with 'Motor over current' and 'Current control' fault above ~15kW load or at higher RPM. If I remove the shunt everything works perfectly again. The shunt is a 300A 0....

Re: Sur-Ron light bee road legal - 3500€

Bridgestone TW201 80/100 Heavy thick tires, but combined with the heavy duty inner tubes after ~4000km still 0 flats. Number plate isn't required in my country, just insurance and that's it. But you can install it under the seat,or if it doesn't fit then just buy a rear fender: https://cdn11.bigcommer...

Re: Sur-Ron light bee road legal - 3500€

Yeah I did,it's nice because it's 0 maintenance and nearly silent. But I started riding off road so I converted it back to chain and installed an X-ring 420 chain which is almost 0 maintenance as well. + I like the sound of the chain . Overall I think chain is better

!SOLD! BBSHD 90mm (73-90) + Luna Super shark. A really good deal

Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

@engate - Sounds like your pretty frustrated with this bike, but in general whats your thought on the Qulbix vs Vector frames? I'm primarily deciding between a Qulbix 76 and Vector Typhoon (and their respective mid drives but they cost too much and might get me in trouble). In particular: 1. Do you...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

spray some water on it and then pull away hard .... see if the buzzing noise stays away. if so then you can provide the edges of the belt (not the tread / teeth themselves) with a thin layer of bee wax or other natural fat without plasticizers that can damage the rubber of the belt. I tried basical...

Luna belt drive kit. It's nice and quiet, but there is an issue what was discussed on their facebook page and confirmed that "this wookie growl sound is normal". Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

benjamin there's a huge difference between what you rode and what I did. Your journey was a moderate LONG incline at full speed mostly where the motor is the most efficient. The motor had a lot of time to dissipate the heat. Meanwhile mine was really really steep short one and a really SLOW (<10km/h)...

Re: Qulbix Q140MD - any experience?

There's another guy on YouTube showing a full ride and I was shocked about the quick overheating. He has the slowest gearing and even on street he reaches 120 degree. Don't know why but if this is normal this md140 sucks hard for what I expected and compare to surron/lmx bikes. Compared to sur ron ...

Re: Sur-Ron - New Mid drive Bike

A new one will break as well. So I just simply won't buy another one.(because the dealer in Hungary told me that if something breaks like that that's not under warranty.)
We welded it instead. The welder told me that he never seen such a poor quality thin metal in years to hold a rear fender

Well this rear mudguard didn't last long. It broke off at 70km/h.. It wasn't a pleasant experience.
