Re: TSDZ2 open source firmware only for KT-LCD3 (v0.19.0 / v.0.20.0beta1)

Long time, no buba... Just wanted to say that I am alive and well. Just very busy. But also very grateful. Am hoping to catch up with everything but it will take some time. Luckily, my wonderful father is an avid reader of everything TSDZ2. Therefore, the last couple of months he has kept an...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Thanks for that calc. Interesting Thanks for giving good recommendations! I also find this very interesting! Thanks, Waynemarlow & Buba, 52V battery 48V motor VS 52V battery 36V motor. Please let me know if my understanding is correct or not? 52V battery 48V motor has more torque at low and mid cad...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Not replying for Buba, but I have both the 48volt and 36volt motors and have tried both on the same bike ( just replaced the motor and not the whole unit ). The 36 volt on a 36 volt battery is a great motor for anybody on the road wanting to just commute at lower pace, that's what it was designed f...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I have a really good 52 V battery (maintains high nominal voltage for a long time) with a 52 teeth crank on a 36 V motor. Cheers! Buba, have you tried a 48V battery in comparison with your 52V as regards to cadence levels. My 48V set on standard numbers will peak out at about 90 - 95rpm before its ...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I’ve got no power to the motor regardless what I do..even after resetting to defaults I can’t get above 0W output. Does this sound like a bad controller? I did accidentally short some pins though blowing up the plug I’m hoping there are other potential things I can try before getting a replacement ...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Thank you! :) I have a really good 52 V battery (maintains high nominal voltage for a long time) with a 52 teeth crank on a 36 V motor. Custom made bike with minimal resistance and really good tires. Using E-MTB exclusively as it does work well with my torque sensor. Depending on gearing, battery, ...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

There is no difference between the 250/350/500/750 W versions of the TSDZ2. The only difference in the hardware is what type of motor you might have: 36 or 48 V. The controller is the same for all versions. How can't there be a difference in 250/350/500 and 750w? That statement contradicts itself. ...

Found it :-)
For people who dont find: It is behind the highest support mode (9 in standard config)

For me 9-10 is the best value for E-MTB sensivity.

E-MTB Mode is a standalone riding mode and is isolated from the other modes. You can use it whenever you need a very responsive mode with access to the entire power range in one single mode. There are no recommendation per se, just try it out and configure so it suits your riding style :) Sorry, th...

Turns out I had forgot to zap strap the crank..no wonder :? I’ll do it when I get home and hopefully I’ll be able to achieve faster speeds. Thanks Glad that you sorted it out! I do recommend to increase the gear ratio if you want a bit more assistance at higher speeds. Maybe install a 52 T crank or...

Hello Jeff, Yes, I do remember! Did think about that one for a while. It is difficult to implement on the KT-LCD3 due to memory constraints. Re: Overestimated battery voltage readout Flexible OpenSource

Hi, this puzzles me over last few days. I have flushed 0.20 beta version of Flexible OpenSource (I am forever in debt to Casainho and other contributors), configured it and the battery voltage shown on LCD3 is 1.15V larger than measured at the battery terminals. I use 13S7P Samsung 30B battery pack...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

The only things I have found is the problem with moving around the sub fields on the display, the delay between needing a key input is really short and for people like me with fat fingers and age on the wrong side, then getting the right speed of input is tough. I had offered an alternative scheme ...
