Re: Another "stelth bomber" build.

I have been driving around in the woods pretty much these last 2 weeks or so. It will probably be what I use this bike for mostly. So I realized I need better protection for the wiring to the controller. I also have a clearance issue between the fender and the controller when the suspension bottoms ...

Re: Another "stelth bomber" build.

A little update of how my work on the sheap chinese controller went: https://i.imgur.com/5DmtX4Hl.jpg I think I killed a mosfet with static electricy, I noticed a little "pop" when I soldered next to a mosfet. I connected a 20A fuse in series with the controller for testing when my soldering was don...

How it looks by now: https://i.imgur.com/nGlrizql.jpg https://i.imgur.com/NJMtmHfl.jpg The side panels will get painted later on. The shield for the controller will get shanged too, I will probably paint them at the same time. My watt meter: https://i.imgur.com/onHBkwjl.jpg It was not intended for t...

Re: Another "stelth bomber" build.

Alright, another update. We are not really up to where I am in the build yet, but we are closing in  My plan is to use the nucular 24fet controller, but it is not finished yet. So I got a cheap chinese controller to use in the meantime: https://i.imgur.com/GGVxyncl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/hjMN...

(The last picture in the previous post) The right switch is the 3 speed switch, the mittle one is lights off, parking light and for low or high beam. Re: Another "stelth bomber" build.

I have built the electrical system too, the 12v converter: https://i.imgur.com/MKs7dS9l.jpg I did´nt think about it when I bought it, but it has a common ground. I don´t like that, now it is a bigger risk to come in contact with high voltage, because the ground is the same in the 12v system :? I am ...

Thanks, I am on the right track then atleast :) But are they ok choices, or really good? I have looked at AOT290 that I have seen here on the forum, as a really good choice I think: https://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/view/487356/AOSMD/AOT290L.html Those seem hard to find around here, and fr...

New mosfets in china controller

I have a cheap 18fet temporary controller, that now has some blown mosfets.. It seems to be the same as the newer greentime controllers. I think I damaged a mosfet with static electricity when I was beefing up traces and wiring and such, but when I looked at datasheets I discovered they were only 80...

I drilled holes to the sides of the cells in the box, I hope it will help to release fumes if a cell vents. https://i.imgur.com/Eca951Wl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/m7S0o2xl.jpg It seems like I didn´t get any pictures of how it looks when it was finished, but I used this rubber carpet in the bottom: htt...

Hello, I thougt I should update a little of how it turned out. I drilled holes to the sides, it was a lot of work to get them smooth on the inside.. I did´nt want any sharp edges possibly damaging the cells. https://i.imgur.com/m7S0o2xl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/Eca951Wl.jpg Pictures of an empty box. ...

I see reference to the 12 and 18mosfet varieties, but can't find these in the sine wave controllers anywhere. Here is one example, there are probably a bunch more out there: https://www.ebay.com/itm/48V-1500W-Brushless-DC-Sine-Wave-Ebike-Controller-Regenerative-Function/232088804925?hash=item360992...

Re: Another "stelth bomber" build.

Thanks for the replys. I have done some more work, but I have not had time to update yet. About wiring, none is finished on the pictures. I had just hanged the wiring for the motor there, to not have it dragging in the ground when moving the bike. It is more finished now, and I have made some of the...

It would be interesting to see how the connection for the phase wires looks on the 24 fet:
"Phase wires 6AWG terminals"
I thought it was screwed on the controller, but it does´nt look like it in the picture.

Re: Battery box for lipos

Thank you both :)

It will only be pressure on the flat side. It is 2 sets of packs, mounted in 2 directions because of space limitations.
They have one"door" each, and 3mm aluminum plate between them.

Hi, can you tell me what end of the xt 150 is mounted on the 24 fet controller?
(Battery leads) I am trying to make a wiring that will fit as much as possible when the controller is finished

What contacts are you using on other connections, like throttle and such?

Battery box for lipos

I am building a box for my lipo packs for the bike. I have some questions, mainly how much pressure is good to have on them? I hope that will lower the risk of puffing to mont them with some pressure. This is what the box looks like: https://i.imgur.com/x8JNXAnl.jpg https://i.imgur.com/8gWyr7vl.jpg ...

Some more pictures of the battery box: https://i.imgur.com/voF7Ezrl.jpg It is mainly built of 2mm alu, with reinforcements on the pressure sides like this.
