Re: Votol EM-100 & EM-150 controllers

I have an older version, I can set sport and busbar current independent of each other. From what I have seen it is not about battery current, so I guess it is just how fast current rises. In low speed I dont reach any battery current limit anyway. I already have max settings on phase A, I dont think...

Re: Votol EM-100 & EM-150 controllers

I just did some testing by changing high speed port to sports input, and it shows “S” in display page, but no change. Still 30a, same as high, which is my sports mode current limit. No change in throttle response? For me there is a lot of difference, even with the same A settings and 250 or somethi...

Re: Best controller for QS138 V3 70

Ahum, I know I have seen at least 370A drawn from the battery on my 138 70h/ em150sp combo.
That is at high rpm with a lot of FW though, but at lower rpm I had at least 300bA.

Re: Votol EM-100 & EM-150 controllers

If i added a row of buttons and switches to my handlebars i could add sport mode, but i dint know what I would gain since gear 3 already seems ro be using sport mode current limit. Just test it by connecting it to ground. On my older controller it sure has effect, even with the same settings. It is...

Re: Conversion of a Bultaco Sherpa

If you have a bms that you can turn off, then the negative switch is defiantly not necessary. I dont know if I should bother with double switches either way. However, I would probably put some sort if pre charge circuit in there. The bms might be able to handle that part. But if you want to take the...

Re: Rectifier Huawei R4850G2 48V 42~58V 3000w

Thanks for allowing me into the forum. After skimming many posts I have not yet found if the R4850G2 can be modified to go beyond 58V. Actually I need 65V (or 67V) to charge my 16S - 600A lithium pack. If it can't, my plan is to use 48V setting and a number of CC boost converters. The drawback here...

Re: Charging Battery Arrays with PSUs - Please Verify

Based on what I have read, I am under the impression that one benefit of using a BMS is that I can run the output of an appropriately rated power supply into the charging jack of the battery case and then the BMS will monitor the charging and handle the balance charging to top off the pack. Is this...

Re: '91 Suzuki DR 250S

Check at the right riding height, but also test the whole range by taking off the spring. The motor should probably sit lower than you might think, on the ktm I have more wear on the underside on the chain guide than the upside. But it is just at the pivot point, so it is probably from when the susp...

Re: Yamaha YZ250F

Well, I wouldn't do it again now when the v3 of the qs 138 70h with built in gear reduction is available. If I started over with this build I would probably go with that on this one too. It would save a lot of time, money and weight. And I think hit with a big enough stick (high A and V) it would pr...

Re: Votol EM-100 & EM-150 controllers

start voltage is the voltage where you want the motor to start.
"End of the" is where you want full throttle to happen.

Measure the voltage from your throttle and determine at what voltage you want it to start.

Any reason why not some type of foam? or is it the obvious that it is quicker using materials nearby? (or maybe a kink for hot glue) Thank you, I haven't really looked in to how to use foam for something like this. And I don't hove any experience in it. Re: KTM 200 exc goes electric

There hasn't been a lot of riding after the accident. First there was a few weeks for healing. I fixed the bike and we rode once. It was a little scary at first, but it was ok after a little while. But then I got sick and we had a break again. We were supposed to ride this weekend, but now my friend...

Re: 4kw QS hub motor - More power

If I added some LiPo’s to the current battery as J bjork has suggested would I still use the one BMS? You have a few options in how to do it. 1: You can use the lipos in parallel with your battery, with no bms on the lipos and the bms you already have on the battery you already have. Then you wont b...

Re: streetlegal crosskart/buggy build 140hp

I only know about using an ixxat (or what it is called) can adapter and dvt software. You need a license for the dvt, but it is the can adapter that is expensive. I think you can keep the rest of the settings, and just change the ones you want. But it depends of if zero has a password protection or ...

I dont really see the point of buying re wrapped cells. They are usually either a quality cell that are a little more expensive than the original, or just any cheap cell re wrapped. They can of course change at anytime. I checked mooch reviews, but it seems like he hasn't tested this cell. The close...

Re: Yamaha YZF250F

Quick question for: does your version of the QS180 have an encoder or hall sensor? QS just told me that my Qs180 will use an encoder. It is encorder. Do you mean that my early model with 3 digital outputs have the same encoder as the new model? So in that case it is 3 digital outputs on the new mod...

Re: Yamaha YZF250F

My motor has 3 digital signals, like from hall sensors. So I guess that is what it is. I saw that comment in the qs sales thread and wondered what it meant exactly. Do you know if it is supposed to be an analog encoder with sin and cos signals? They seem to use a fardriver controller, but I havent s...
