Re: Voilamart 1500W Internal Controller and Amps

I have the 1000watt version. I changed the controller to 72v Grin Tech and used a Cycle Analyst display. Running 72v with no issues. 95% of my riding is 750watt and occasionally I will push 1500 or 2000 watts when going up hill. I can go up to 40mph with this setup but anything over 30mph is too fas...

Re: Lowest recommended voltage before charging

So if we used 3.4v as a voltage low point before recharging that means for

10s 36v pack : 34v before charging
13s 48v pack: 44v before charging
14s 52v pack 47v before charging
20s 72v pack 68v before charging

Re: eBike kit controller technical questions

I have the same setup. Sometime I set cruise control to 10mph and manually pedal from there. I upgraded my to a 72v controller with the sw900 and pas was worse. pas 1 is now 25mph which is way too fast. I’m considering swapping out the sw900 for a Cycle Analyst 3. Looks like lcd wiring is the same. ...

Lowest recommended voltage before charging

I know we recommend to charge up to 90% or 4.1v (single 18650) to get better cycle life What about the recommended lowest voltage taken into the effect of voltage sag? Some say 30% but not sure what voltage is 30% What is 30% in terms of 18650? Is it 3.6 volts? What is 0%? . I know 0 volts is not 0 ...

10s3p Scooter battery packs for Ebike question

Just got four 36v 10s3p scooter battery packs for my DIY battery build from fleabay quite cheap. Pack is 7.7ah 36v with LG cells. Tested each pack and was 40v. Was going to make myself a DIY 52v 14s pack but might be hard if since these battery are spot welded so might be easier just to upgrade my c...

Re: Quick Meanwell charging question

So what is worse on your suggested voltage range on a 13s 48v? You recommended between 48.9 to around 53.5. If thats the case then I will need to charge daily for my commute to work. If I can use the range from 42v to 53.5 then I can charge every other day. What best for the battery? Charge daily wi...

Re: Quick Meanwell charging question

Thanks Scooterman101 for the quick response. I'm using the bike right away after charging at work. The current charger is 3A 54.6V. Meanwell I will set it max it will go which is 53.2. The battery does have a BMS built in as the charger that came with it will turn off when it reaches 54.6 V. You men...

Quick Meanwell charging question

I have several ELN-60-48D from my DIY reef LED lighting a few years ago that I am not using. I want to slow charge 13s 48v battery at 1Ah. The max voltage I was able to get was 53.2 volts. I want to undercharge my 48v battery pack to 52 volts keeping it withing the 80%-90% charged range for longevit...
