Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me with some issues I've been having with my tsdz2 build. I bought the 750w 48v motor, planning to get a 48v battery in NZ. This proved impossible for me so I had to settle for a 36v battery. I flashed the 36v files from the eco-bike tutorial which was easy enough. O...

Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5, vlcd6 and xh18

Does anyone know if it's possible to add a brake sensor to a controller which has only the 6-pin display cable? Perhaps soldering a wire on the controller and connecting that to the sensor? Here is temperature sensor installing on 6-pin controller by jbalat. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wb8Omk6e...

850C_v0.6.4 is the best ever. I skipped the previous version due to the hurry. Big thanks to casainho. I have the odo working, I also use the lights through the speed sensor splitter and I have no problem.

Re: TSDZ2 Stronger BB Spindle

Hello! I'm having problems snapping BB spindles at the groove where the circlips locate. I am a heavy and strong cyclist, I've destroyed plenty of BB and pedal spindles and cranks in my time, but I've done three of these in the last year (approx one every 1,000 miles) and I'm a bit fed up of it. So...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive and 850C and SW102 displays only -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only)

You advised me to change the values at the knee of curve, I did it and it didn't help. I tried many options. And as I said the program works well without calibration, and I am satisfied. By the way, maby Iā€™m not the only one. Hi did you try any new settings, I am also having very little assistance a...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

When I drive with torque sensor calibrated on factor level 1.0 assist is no good. So you don't know how to change the assist factor levels or you are simple being lazy to do it? I wouldn't call myself lazy, I commute by bike, I do my daily shopping by the bike and I also ride for fun. I have seven ...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

So, I think you need to focus on the values around the knee of the graph, maybe trying to measure 5 values near around, because that zone will have a big impact on the values calculated. Also I think is important for you try to imagine a soft round curve passing on/near all the points and so you ca...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only) for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

You get to the correct firmware version by following the wiki, the how to install the firmware guide. There is no other way, users need to update the firmware to latest version. And I did saw your video and I known because I did the development that the latest version of 0.51.0 has improvements on ...

Did you buy the engine from PSWPower? I think there is pretty good customer service.
At least TSDZ2 motor develops some how. Inverted connectors. Is it good thing or shit happens like axles.

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware (Casainho code only) for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I installed 850C_v0.6.2 and v0.51.0. Torque sensor calibration didn't work for me. My ADC values are very low compared casainhos values. My 0 kg ADC value is 146 and casainho has 292, my 78 kg (my weight) ADC value is 281, casainho has on 54 kg 378 ADC. Perhaps it requires a torque sensor adusting....

I am being working on the next firmware version, both on motor and on display. The main new feature will be the torque sensor full calibration and here is my torque sensor values (X axis shows kilograms weight on the left and right pedals and Y axis the torque sensor ADC value). We can see it is no...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

I have had the same problem, I think. In colder weather the hf1216 bearing (inside blue gear) actually slipped against the blue gear inner shell. So I hammered it out (very easy). I then used some loctite retaining compound and re-mounted it. After this I've had no slippage. bluegear-slippage.png G...

Can anyone please tell me what the third hole is for in the black mounting bracket? It's unused in all the pics I've seen.

For example you can put wires through that hole.

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Did some extensive testing of the SW102 and it works flawlessly so far. The only weird issue is if you have the brake on when turning on the motor, you get "motor not found" error. Yes but that is an issue on the motor firmware as it does not start up until you release the brakes. Another thing is ...

On TS website they introduce TSDZ3 http://www.tsbicycle.net/index.php/content/148, which has optional bluetooth.
I think this: http://www.tsbicycle.net/index.php/content/164 is also new. I don't know who is selling this new model.
