Re: Tsdz2 firmware open source adapted to vlcd5

So because of that then your first suggestion at line 685 didn't work. OK, it seems, that the processor runs out of time. We had similar problems in the kunteng project. We replaced floating point arithmetics with integer arithmetics and replaced divisions with right shifts, where ever possible, th...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

That page was written by me and it is updated. Is up to you to decide, but SW102 will soon be the easier and quicker to flash the firmware as also keeping the display intact and maintain the water prof. About memory, both are future proof. Good news casainho. I am personally really happy with the l...

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Can anyone recommend a way of getting my standard 42 tooth front sprocket down to say a 36 tooth and still get a reasonable chain line ? There's the (costly) future-bike.it 30T NW chainring : https://www.electrifybike.com/store/p66/30T_Narrow%2FWide_Chainring_for_TSDZ2.html#/ Thanks, 30T would be t...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Nice so it LVC is reached then power keeps dropping to ensure LVC is not violated again ? I assume that eventually the power cannot be dropped any more and the motor will turn off ? Yes! You will still have the system powered for a very long time but the motor power will be restricted. Eventually i...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Hello, Just some considerations about the street mode. At the moment we have couple of parameters to set on the street mode: power (typically 250W) and speed (typically 25 km/h). The Power cuts precisely at 250w then and does not allow any peak value above that, except some +25W of rounding. We all ...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I pulled the motor down completely and there were no broken wires in the Torque sensor, Just curiously should the throttle/ walk assist work if torque sensor is disconnected? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yes, the walk assist worked in my case, even if one wire from the torque sensor was broken.

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Thanks Buba and phidauex, now it's a bit more clear the reason behind the power reduction.

Generally speaking, what is a reasonable LCV value for a 36v battery? I've to double cheek what I set initially, I remember 29 or 30v (2.9-3.0v per cell). Reasonable?

Thanks

I've a 36v motor, OSF v.20 beta1, and a 620Wh battery (17.5Ah). I set the motor limit to 450W for the offroad mode and 14A for current limit, so teoretica...

Yes, the little axle/gear mesh against the big sprag clutch gear. Can't find it on pswpower, but it's available at aliexpress, https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33011901273.html
Thanks, did anybody tested side by side the two gears and confirm that the helicoidal is quieter?

In case of sprag clutch replacement I might consider a switching from straight to helical gears: in this case it is necessary to buy both big gear and reduction gear, correct? Is the second one available on pswpower?
Thanks

Re: New "TSDZ2 Torque Sensor Central Motor"

Use some loctite on the thread of the 2 screws, put some washers to assure the plate is tightened 100% flat. Put some grease on the big ring's thread and tighten it as strong as you can, don't hesitate to make the special tool a bit longer (using a tube for example) to be able to put more torque on...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Just for my understanding, what is the range of average force that a "normal" cyclist applies on the pedals during a ride, intended as force during a, say, 15% climb or pushing a bike at 40 km/h with a 52t chainring? I feel I'm not putting a force above 20 kg for 95% of the time, therefore I do not...

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

Good afternoon, I personally think that one of the major showstopper for the new displays is that currently they need to be opened in a tricky way (sw102) or a special programmer must be purchased (850c). The work to access the bootloader, beside the connector wiring that needs to be done anyway, is...

To me yes, the only button to be disabled is the DOWN. I think that the finger will slip just on that one only.
I will wait the A9 to try it out, possibly before the end of the week..? I have a trip in my mind that might require a good walk assist a lot 😋

Re: TSDZ2 mid drive -- Flexible OpenSource firmware for TongSheng TSDZ2 mid drive motor

I think you may need to look at the debounce again. As you asked I have tried A8 out on the route that I use walk assist. Very steep steps in flights of about 6 or 7 steps cut into a cliff. I set assist level to 9 at the bottom as I always do and lifting the front wheel up to start each flight and ...
